10/10 we loved everything about our stay with Deb & Keith. After hunting around for something just like this, we were so happy to find this guesthouse. It's so rare these days to find an experience like this where the hosts could not do more for you to make you feel welcome, taken care of and able to enjoy everything has to offer. We came up for 3 nights to hike Hellveynn and to celebrate my birthday. With some very tired legs, it was so nice to come back to the warmth of Dunsford House. There is assigned parking around the back of the guesthouse which is so lovely for when Keswick gets busy. We adored the breakfast every day (mucho fresh fruit!!), loved all the little extras, and really appreciated all the chats with Deb & Keith and getting to know the other guests at breakfast. Deb even encouraged my partner to take the bus and we enjoyed a really lovely day exploring Windermere, Grasmere and Ambleside on the double decker. When we left and were waved off, we knew we'd be back to see our new northern parents and left feeling so relaxed and cared for :) This is an absolute gem and absolutely worth its 9.9 rating on Booking. Wow!! This was such a lucky find. If you want a stay that you will never forget don't hesitate to book Dunsford Guest House, Keswick. Your hosts Keith & Deb are the loveliest. Its like staying with friends, only better. The room was spotless, bed so comfortable, view incredible, shower hot, complimentary toiletries, bedroom refreshment tray with extras like sweeties, marshmallows for your hot chocolate & even chocolate biscuits!! Everything you could want - a true home from home. Breakfast was out of this world - 15 different fruits every day, natural yoghurt, juices, honey, maple syrup, full cooked vegetarian, toast, fresh coffee! They helped with everything from where to visit, how to get there, buses, routes, markets, boat tours, best hikes, even short ones. Huge knowledge of all Lakes! Parking on-site around the back of the property is brilliant, as street parking in Keswick is in short supply as its such a beautiful location. I will be returning to the Lakes in 2026 as it is incredible, leaves you with a yearning for more and will definitely be booking at Dunsford. View of sunset is taken from Dunsford House. Absolutely lovely stay in the centre of Keswick. Exceptional breakfast and hosts in a spotless room. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.
Only thing with being a large tall man the shower cubicle was rather cramped but the water temperature and pressure was fine.
