Keswick's Best - Book Early !!

Wow!! This was such a lucky find. If you want a stay that you will never forget don't hesitate to book Dunsford Guest House, Keswick. Your hosts Keith & Deb are the loveliest. Its like staying with friends, only better. The room was spotless, bed so comfortable, view incredible, shower hot, complimentary toiletries, bedroom refreshment tray with extras like sweeties, marshmallows for your hot chocolate & even chocolate biscuits!! Everything you could want - a true home from home. Breakfast was out of this world - 15 different fruits every day, natural yoghurt, juices, honey, maple syrup, full cooked vegetarian, toast, fresh coffee! They helped with everything from where to visit, how to get there, buses, routes, markets, boat tours, best hikes, even short ones. Huge knowledge of all Lakes! Parking on-site around the back of the property is brilliant, as street parking in Keswick is in short supply as its such a beautiful location. I will be returning to the Lakes in 2026 as it is incredible, leaves you with a yearning for more and will definitely be booking at Dunsford. View of sunset is taken from Dunsford House. Absolutely lovely stay in the centre of Keswick. Exceptional breakfast and hosts in a spotless room. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Only thing with being a large tall man the shower cubicle was rather cramped but the water temperature and pressure was fine.

Dunsford house is immaculate with lots of little extras! Deb and Keith are the perfect hosts. We were served a wonderful breakfast with lots of choice and they are both so helpful with great advice on what to do in the local area. Thank you Deb and Keith for a lovely stay, we hope to return one day.

Excellent stay in a perfect location with perfect hosts.

The location is excellent for walking straight from the accommodation, and also perfect for access to lots of restaurants. The room was exceptionally clean, and kept that way during our stay. The owners were outstanding in making you feel welcome, and providing local knowledge, and really understand how to give those extra little touches to make your stay perfect and want to book again there should you go back to Keswick.

Nothing really apart from our preference would have been for a slightly later breakfast, which was gorgeous so you wouldn't want to miss it.

Perfect stay with wonderful hosts

We had a truly wonderful stay at Dunsford Guest House. Deb and Keith are exceptional hosts who genuinely care about their guests. They are incredibly helpful and always ready with great advice on what to do and see in and around Keswick, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and kindness really stood out. Breakfast was really good, too, a delicious full English alongside a generous variety of fresh fruit. The house is extremely cosy and comfortable, and parking was very easy. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a better place to stay. Highly recommended!

Wonderful, welcoming by an amazing couple.

The welcome by Keith & Deb was wonderfully warm and friendly. When we told them I was attempting the ‘Frog Graham Round’ that night, they couldn’t have done more to support us. The property was very clean and fresh with beautiful rooms; the tea and coffee - biscuits, linen - all first class!

Book it!!

Everything! Spotlessly clean. Lovely decor. Treats in the room and bottled water provided each day. Fruit, yogurt and cereal on offer at breakfast time and of course a full English breakfast, with fried bread cut into different animal shapes each day! 😁 Location was excellent and there is parking at the back too. Our room ( the only one at present) had wallpaper on the back wall that was a map of the Lake District!!

We liked everything about the property. The location was perfect, the breakfast was the best we’ve ever had and our room was spotless. Debs and Keith were absolutely lovely and we would definitely recommend this guest house and wouldn’t stay anywhere else .

Location perfect very quiet but only 5 minutes walk to shops, restaurants etc. Hosts Deb and Keith were lovely and very attentive with nothing being too much trouble. Also very helpful advice on local amenities and places to visit. The whole property was immaculately clean and the breakfast was delicious with cereals, plenty of fresh fruit and a superb full English made with top quality products. The only downside was we only stayed for 2 nights. We will definitely visit again in the near future and stay longer.

Highly recommended if you are going to Keswick

Our host Deb and her husband are such wonderful people, they treat their guests with all their kindness and respect. They are always very helpful and supportive at very detailed levels. The breakfast is the best among all the BnBs we had stayed. There are surprisingly variety of fruits served and freshly cooked breakfast. The house is located very close to the town center. The room is very clean comfortable even though it is on a little smaller size but good enough for two people.

Perfect little guest house in a fabulous location.

Perfect from check-in to check out! The house is in the perfect location, 2 minutes walk to the centre of Keswick. Parking either on the street or around the back of the B&B. Deb and Keith are lovely and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms have everything you need and are spotlessly clean. Breakfast is beautiful, fresh fruit and cereal followed by a great quality full English. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Andy & Andrea

Wonderful welcome from Deb & Keith, brilliant location with the added bonus of parking round the back. Spotlessly clean and nothing is too much trouble. Dunsford Guest House is a lovely stay in a great location but what made it truly special were the hosts. They were super nice and extremely accommodating, my friend and I came to Keswick for a trail run and they offered to make us porridge instead of the traditional breakfast! Overall, would recommend staying here.

The bed could have been more comfortable, a bit soft/springy.

Great location with 5 minute walk to all the local restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Debbie and Keith were perfect hosts; breakfast was wonderful with a wide range of fresh fruit coupled with a traditional fried/grilled breakfast - bacon and Cumberland sausage, amazing! They welcomed us and catered for all our needs during the stay, great local knowledge of the fells and good advice on local activities. A quiet road, but so close to everything you need. Deb and Keith made us feel really welcome. The property is in a super convenient location. It was nice and warm. Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Deb also made it easy to chat with the other guests and created a social atmosphere.

Deb and Keith are exceptional hosts. Nothing was too much for them. They were very helpful and just go above and beyond. The location of Dunstfird is perfect. A 2 minute walk to the end of the street and you are at the end of town. The rooms were excellent. Super, super clean and well stocked, even marshmallows for your hot chocolate.

Deb and Kevin made us feel so welcome, and our breakfast was absolutely delicious, couldn’t fault the room, would recommend this place to anyone, also the location was perfect, just around the corner from all the bars and restaurants, we will definitely be returning.

10/10 - Amazing Hosts

Deb and Keith are wonderful hosts and all round lovely people with a huge passion and pride for their home and their town. They gave us advice on where to walk, where to eat, and made our short stay better for it. Dunsford is clean, comfortable with a perfect location and all the facilities you could need. The private parking is a big plus as well. Thank you again for a great stay!

Only minor issue is the parking to the rear could potentially get a little tricky to navigate if you had a larger vehicle. BUT - Deb and Keith are brilliant with communicating and coordinating guests to avoid block ins, and we certainly had no issues when we were there, and for a normal sized family car you should have no issues.

Pefect stay in Kewsick with brilliant hosts.

We stayed here whilst on our honeymoon for a couple of nights and the place was exceptional. Deb & Keith could not of done more for us and their hospitality was perfect. The bedroom was more than adequate for our stay & breakfast was brilliant. The added bonus of off road parking Keswick is so helpful when arriving after a long journey also.

Exceptional

Deb and Keith were wonderful hosts. I can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating they were. Any issues that arise, big or small, they go out of their way to sort it out, and are always ready with good advice and friendly conversation. The rooms were very well-appointed and clean, and the view was very nice. Breakfast was excellent, and the amenities in the rooms were top-notch as well.

The mattress was a bit firm for me as a stomach sleeper, but the hosts provided an extra duvet to cushion it with, and then it was just right :)
