Can do better

The bed was comfortable.(I would call it ensuite bedroom more than a studio) It is quite private and probably the cheapest option around ( I paid £136 for 2 nights). Good location (10 minutes from center)

Pipes are noisy- always some noise of water running from neighbours. Flat is not well serviced (nothing to wash cutlery with, had to buy my own toilet paper, not sure bed sheets were changed before my arrival). All of the above was already mentioned before by other ppl but not addressed.

A good little bolthole for a good price if you need to stay somewhere in a pinch.

Very close to amenities and the river side location was very nice. Good facilities, the iron Was a lifesaver and was good to have a fridge and microwave. The hosts were super friendly and helpful especially when I couldn’t get in (it was the wrong door!)

Unfortunately I found the neighbours upstairs quite noisy and the plumbing did wake me up. I also had to wash out the mugs as they had residue tea in them before use and the wine glass was also dirty, the kettle also desperately needs to be descaled. Not sure if it is a ventilation issue but after a shower the ceiling started raining from condensation build up.

Excellent one night stay for city break

Quiet but central location, cosy space, provision of glasses, microwave, fridge & teabags. Great communication and easy to get in. Little porch area was very helpful for muddy shoes etc.

It's very small - the size is clearly set out in the listing so it's not a criticism, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend more than one night there. Shower could use some TLC as it obviously leaks.

Simple room in central location

- Conveniently located some 5min walk from the bottom of Westgate centre. - Good communication and instructions provided pre-arrival.

- Not a studio in usual sense, just a room with a bathroom, plus a small fridge and a kettle. If you use any kitchen utensils you'll need to wash them in the bathroom. - The unit was created by separating one room of a family house and putting up a thin wall between them. As a result, there is very little soundproofing and when kids run up and down the stairs and scream, you feel like you're right next to it.

The location- was near town center, was near the station and was right by the river- We really needed that combo! Also the lovely messages from our hosts.

A disappointing, over valued property, though close to the city centre.

This was a polarising property. The location is great with just just a short walk to the city centre. Communication, with the hosts prior to arriving was clear. The bed was comfy and bedding and towels etc were all clean. There was no parking nearby (which was communicated) and I was able to use a nearby Park and Ride which was only a short bus ride away which was fine.

The room was so compact that there wasn't any additional space for anything else and as such, there were only basic white goods provided - though there wasn't a toaster. As such, this felt more like a hotel room than a studio flat. When getting a shower, I couldn't turn the temperature down and as such I had fill a bottle up from the nearby wash basin to rinse myself. However, the worse thing was the noise from the above flat. Whenever people walked around it sounded like a family of dinosaurs had moved in and even worse, whenever they used water, the sound of the plumbing felt I was living next door to a plumbing station. As a result of the noise, I only stayed one night out of the planned two and when I explained this to the hosts it was not at least acknowledged which was disappointing. I am not a fan of negative reviews and always try and balance a property alongside the experience and in this case, though the property was passable, the noise from the above flat and the shower issue made the overall experience a poor one.

Close to centre but noisy

Although the shower was okay, it didn’t drain very well. Possibly why there was a damp smell when we came in. The room is very small, it’s a small hotel room with a microwave and mini fridge, not a ‘whole place is yours’ studio/apartment. The parking that’s recommended is extortionate, £30 for one night! We were only left with about a quarter of a loo roll which was a bit annoying. I think what lets this down the most, and why we have scored so low is we barely slept due to the noise from the apartment above. We could hear every step, every creak, every little bang, and the plumbing noises are on another level. We were awake until 1am, and woken again at 5am. For the price, plus the parking cost, we don’t see this accommodation as good value for money in Oxford.

Clean and simple solution if you are stuck and need a bed

Well located out of the noisy part of town but still easy to walk. Almost on canal path so nature walks are easy. Good pressure shower.

Its fine but be aware that in this case the term 'one-bed flat' does not mean it has a bedroom or that its a flat. Its a room. And not a big one. Its got a window but feels a bit like a cave - no outlook as such. I know that for the money I should have low expectations in Oxford but I did expect more. If you are on your own and just need a night or two at a reasonable price and you are not going to be relaxing in the room much - go for it. But there might be something a little nicer not far away.

Good Value, Great Location & Lovely Hosts

Host was super responsive and helpful! Was able to let us check-in early and stay a little later to accommodate for our travel schedule. Location was great too, quiet and right by the mall/shopping center -- easy walk into the center of town. Was very affordable and good for the cost.

It is definitely a small space -- there were 2 of us and I probably would recommend this more so for solo travelers due to the space of the unit. Also make sure to bring your own conditioner/toiletries, because there was only soap. Overall though, for the price of the unit, I think this is a great value choice!!

Excellent, comfortable stay in Oxford, attentive hosts, easy access to city.

Modern, comfortable flatette at end of a cul-de-sac, set back from the street, with high degree of privacy and a small garden area at the front door. Excellent directions from the hosts, making the place easy to find and get into. A door code accesses the yard, and a combination keybox contains the flat key. The premises were immaculately clean and there was tea, coffee and UVT milk provided, with a small fridge to stow fresh food for longer stay. Kettle and microwave also provided. Dishes and cutlery provided, but you need to use the handbasin in the bathroom to clean them. Lovely walk past the river to the main road where buses stop. WiFi very fast and stable.

While the neighbours are perfectly considerate, there is quite some noise, just from normal living activities permeating from upstairs, such as footsteps on the wooden floors, taps turning on and so forth. This occurs only during waking hours, so it didn't disturb sleep at night.

Für den Preis von 65 £ ein solches Loch. Bettwäsche veraltet und erhebliche nicht einladend Teils alte Flecken . Sehr sehr hellhörig. Quietschen des Fußboden vom Obergeschoss. laute Wassergeräusche. Ganz schlechte Lärmdämmung Kann es nicht weiter empfehlen.

unbequemes Bett und dünne Wände.. die Nachbarn über uns waren bereits um 7 Uhr am herumwerkeln, an Schlaf war nicht mehr zu denken. Auch wurde in 5 Tagen kein einziges Mal die Habdtücher getauscht und 2 Rollen dünnes Toilettenpapier waren für 5 Tage auch sehr knapp bemessen

Verschrikkelijk, alleen te verblijven als je stokdoof bent. Schandalig dat dit wordt verhuurd. Het is echt heel gehorig. De bovenburen (die je bijna woordelijk kan verstaan) maken normale woongeluiden, maar met name de waterleidingen zijn zeer luidruchtig. Door het gebruik van water gaat vóór 12:00 slapen niet lukken en na 06:00 am ook niet meer. Zoveel herrie kan je je gast(en) niet aandoen. Om 23:00 gaat de vaatwasser aan en om 07 uur de wasmachine (op maandag). Het is een zeer kleine kamer en idem badkamer. De “keuken” faciliteiten zijn zeer summier, een koelkastje en een kleine magnetron, wat bestek en serviesgoed. Handzeeppompje was leeg.

Tivemos bastante frio; o aquecimento não estava ligado e quando reportamos o mesmo e perguntamos como poderíamos fazê-lo, foi dito que era o andar de cima que controlava o mesmo e que deveria estar ligado. Não estava e nunca esteve durante a nossa estadia, sendo que à noite as temperaturas baixavam bastante. Ouvia-se imenso barulho do andar de cima. Encontrámos uma bomba para a asma no chão, o que nos fez questionar bastante a limpeza do espaço.
