Perfect location for short term stay

Handy location, but very much a 'no frills' small apartment

The room was quite warm the whole time, and mostly quiet too. The microwave and shower were nice, and the fridge was handy too. The TV was close to the bed so it was easy to see. The wifi was fast and reliable. There were no stairs, and the house/street is very close to the railway station, and not very far from Oxford's main attractions and shops. Everything was perfectly clean. Bedside lamps were handy. I also liked the dark blue curtains which cut the light out very well.

The room was very small, with hardly room to walk around the bed with your case, or even open it anywhere. The TV has no aerial, so relies on wifi, which won't connect, so I had to use my PC the whole time to watch TV thus occupying my PC so I couldn't do anything else on it. This in turn involves lots of cables and makes using the kettle inconvenient too. The wifi code was slightly wrong too, so on my arrival after a long journey, I had the code to figure out and the TV to fiddle about with. The neighbours upstairs were pretty noisy, probably due to lack of carpet up there. The fridge also hummed frequently during the night, right next to the bed. At this time, until August 2026, the end of the street is like a building site, so makes arrival/departure with cases somewhat awkward, especially at night when we arrived. Getting the keys out of the lockbox in the dark shouldn't be like doing a Crystal Maze puzzle.

The property was not particularly clean, poor quality bed and linen, incredibly loud other guests and a poor job of splitting the house into flats contributed to that noise.

Fabulous!

Really Wonderful location in the centre of Penzance and very convenient. Very well presented upon arrival and very clean. Had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay and the owners were very flexible with our needs.

We had a bit of a problem with the lock accessing the stairwell to the property where it would lock us out - so had to leave it unlocked for prolonged periods of time. Not a major problem as there was an additional lock on our door - but it was a bit disconcerting. However the property owner was very communicative throughout this process and hopefully this is already resolved for future guests.

The hotel enjoys a good location; however, the room is too cold, and the bathroom is not good

The location is very good, near station.

The host of this hotel is a nice person, but I had a very uncomfortable two nights. There are three significant issues with the hotel that really need to be addressed: 1. The room, being on the ground floor, is very cold, and the radiator is quite small. I stayed for two nights; the first night I woke up freezing at approximately 4 am. The next day, I asked the host to turn up the heating, but I still ended up waking up cold in the middle of the night. The heating seems ineffective, and it's genuinely very cold in the room. 2. The water temperature control in the bathroom is not functioning properly. When showering, the water temperature sometimes becomes scalding hot and then suddenly cold. I think these two aspects of the hotel really need improvement to make it suitable for guests. 3、Need better cleanliness.The bedside table is covered with a layer of dust and is not clean.It appears as if the bedside table hasn't been wiped for a long time.

Good basic room near train station

Everything you need, compact room, tea and coffee and a fridge. Shower. Bed was comfy.

Wasn't very soundproof, could head some of the movement and goings on upstairs. It didn't bother me too much but might bug others. Shower wasn't so great, water didn't get very hot. Lots of construction in Oxford at the moment walk from railway station is difficult to find the pathway under a bridge. But not too far to walk, just congested and unexpected.

Great location and really well equipped.

The property had a great location, very close to Oxford railway station, but in quiet residential street. It was very handy to have a fridge available, and the price was excellent by Oxford standards. We have stayed before and will come back.

We couldn't turn on the radiator in the room (although we aren't the most technical people in the world so this might have been our ineptitude rather than anything else!)

The instructions received on the morning of arrival on how to pick up the keys were clear - and worked well.

The location of the property close to the station is as advertised. What I wasn't prepared for was the appearance of the road it is in. The rubbish collection lorry did it's duty right outside our room at 5ish in the morning (admittedly, it has to be done at some point). To be honest, with the room as it is, the owners have done everything they can to furnish it for a pleasant stay. I just felt that we paid way more than it is worth though.

I like the easy checkin process for the property and Yolanda was very nice.

Basically the room is good!

The heater wasn’t working and I got a cold to stay there, I complained about it buy Yolanda said that the heater was working properly. my room was super cold. I found food on the refrigerator smelling really bad. The shower does not work, or it is super hot and Burn my skin or super cold. The place is a bit noise. I could not sleep. The bed was dirt and I found rice at the blankets.
