Could have been better. Host would benefit from staying a night & using the space. Much to rectify

Location was the main plus. Very close to train station and not far from work, city centre and all amenities. Fridge and microwave very very clean. Garden a plus. Info from host on how to enter property was clear and warm.

At night the security light at the front door doesn’t come on until after the code is put in and door is open, you can’t see the keys of the lock without a light…!? Studio key box is in an awkward location…. Hall light switch doesn’t work only the motion censor works and that is triggered at the front door the other end of the hall. So leaving the studio when it’s dark is pfaffy….. Room generally clean on first look. Paintwork is littered with water marks from old leaks and drink splashes. Bedding was clean and I think quite new. One pillow didn’t have a cover other than the protector one. Mattress is old with a very good thick memory foam topper but this slides about. The arm chair had something on it smeary spillage I hadn’t noticed which got on a brand new top I had laid over the arm of the chair. The kettle needs replacing or deep cleaning of lime scale. I chose not to use it. The microwave needs instructions for guests for easier use. The mirror is good only at certain times of day as is tucked in a dark corner behind a wall sometimes it was too dark to see in it properly or at all even with main light on and the bedside light angled as best I could. NO SMOKE ALARM in studio. The bathroom was where the more serious issues are…… 3 times during the week the shower leapt out of the holder when the water was turned off. Once on my first shower there. Not the best start to my stay, It was so unexpected and it actually hit me on the head. It doesn’t sit it the cradle securely at all. The whole shower mounting pole is very very wobbly. There’s a bodged previous repair done which is not doing anything. It’s a cheap shower that was so so difficult to get consistent and adequate temperature from. The pressure was poor too. Best I could say was at least I could get clean. There is a very very distinct lack of an actual shelf in the bathroom, one could easily be put over the sink. The vent is disgusting thick thick dust and cobwebs

An enjoyable stay

Lovely little studio perfect for a few nights. Clean and centrally located - within walking distance to all main attractions in the city center, as well as the train station. Coffee is also provided, which is nice.

Nothing, apart from decent location close to the train station and walkable to the historic city centre.

It was cold, felt unsafe and every breath upstairs from neighbour could be heard. I would never stay there again, and have recommended friends and family away from private properties.

- Great value and location, there's been a road reroute nearby making it harder to find but once you get to it there's not a problem. - Room is spacious for two - Bed is fabulous, must've been one of the most comfortable beds the entire trip.

Comfortable stay with a great host; kitchen limited and some noise.

The host was amazing — very responsive, helpful, and flexible. My stay was very comfortable, and the place was very clean. The blackout curtains were a great touch and added to the overall comfort.

The kitchen was missing a sink, but the bathroom had one that could be used. Overall, I was very happy with my stay, though personally I wouldn’t consider the kitchen fully equipped. To be fair, the photos make this clear. Also, if you’re staying, it may be worth bringing earplugs, as movement from the people above can cause some noise — not too loud, but noticeable.

Great Place, Great Price

One of the cleanest accommodations I have ever seen, the room size is great, we stayed in a room with a garden, the location is very good, the price is really extraordinary, I can say that oxford is the only place I will stay, the beds are comfortable and the cleanliness is very good

There was a lot of noise from adjoining rooms, in particular from the water system which was very noisy when people upstairs used the toilet or shower. Also , as the room is right under the stairs it was very noisy when people used the stairs as they are not carpeted .

Not amazing, just ok for a bed for the night. Overpriced.

Reasonable room and location.

Lack of general communication from owner. Cleaning staff on site spoke no english and outside door code proved very difficult to acquire and access due to communication difficulties. Parking permits were provided but we had to struggle to communicate/argue to be given 2 permits for a 2 night stay. Place was ok, but had very noisy plumbing. Every flush of every toilet in the building was ridiculous. Also major roadworks causing issues to access were not advised about. This caused major issues for us arriving by car.

Convenient location and room had everything I needed for a solo, one night work trip

Room was exactly what I needed for a one night work trip. Location was easy to find and very convenient. Bed was very comfy, room was clean and shower was hot, with nice extras like a hair-dryer, iron and ironing board and a fridge with tea/coffee facilities. Garden would have been great if the weather had permitted its use.

As with previous reviews, the room is located under the stairs and the walls are thin, so you do hear anyone coming and going. The boiler does seem to provide water to other rooms, and so came on a lot in the morning when others were using it. As I stayed on a Monday night, the noise from others was minimal and was quiet between 11pm and 7am so the above was not really an inconvenience and I would stay again on a weeknight.

the studio is on the ground floor of an old line house. sound isolation was poor. when ppl upstairs used shower or sink, or walk around, the noise was unbearable. this disturbed my sleep. there is a microwave next to the bed, which I could have used to heat up some food. but there is no place to properly clean and dry dishes and utensils, so I did not self cater as planned.

Good comfortable place close to Oxford

This is a great place to stay that is very close to the Oxford train station and easy walking distance to the main streets of Oxford. It was easy to find and checking in was seamless with the code and lockbox. Yolanda was very helpful! Room and bed were comfortable and neat. Tea, kettle and fridge available.

The next door visitor had a loud phone call in the adjoining bathroom that was easy to hear through the bathroom walls. Luckily it was during the early evening. For the rest it was great!

Exceptional

I liked that the place is near the train station and its not hard to find. It is also very clean, there is also a balcony where you can stay if you want fresh air and the room is complete with the things people will usually need in a day. The owner is very accomodating. Will definitely recommend this to others who wants to book their stay to oxford.
