A lovely apartment to stay in for a visit to Oxford

The property was perfect for our stay in Oxford. It was a 2 minute walk to the bus stop which took us to the centre and the train station or Blenheim Palace in the opposite direction. The host responded to messages immediately. The three bedrooms were comfortable and perfect for my family of 4.

Very functional & well equipped 3 bedroom apartment with thoughtful gestures like clothes drying rack, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper etc. Tucked in a quiet residential cul-de-sac yet only a 5 to 10 mins walk to Summertown restaurants, takeaways, M&S etc. 2 mins walk to bus stop to Oxford town centre.

Adequate but a bit disappointing

Garage very small & access difficult, especially due to large cars parking opposite outside their garage! Damp/musty smell throughout. Main bedroom small.

Quiet, leafy and comfy

Everything was perfect for our needs: the position (only 10 mins from the centre of Oxford by bus in a quiet neighbourhood but close to supermarkets, bars and restaurants) cleanliness, internal space and a very good price. The owner was very helpful and dealt with any questions we had immediately.

Beautiful home

Stayed here and drove to and from the F1, worked out perfectly. There’s also a bus outside which we took into the town

Parking was very tight but we were aware of that before arriving. One day our parking garage was blocked by another car, I messaged the owner and got a quick and helpful reply which was excellent

Overall, a lovely place to stay

The shower is spacious, holds its' temperature well and there's a good, strong water flow. The beds and the couch are comfy and the kitchen is well equipped with everything from you might need, even if you want to go ahead and cook a full meal. There was an extra mobile heating unit available. The WLAN was quick and stable and handled hours long video calls very well. The bus station is just around the corner, with a very regular service and if you get your ticket over the local bus app, it's pretty cheap too. There's lots of shops and restaurants just a 10 minute walk away. Also, the landlord was easily reachable on the day we arrived to answer questions, and when there were some minor issues, they were taken care of within the day, so excellent service! Also, it's a really quiet, a bit rural area, even though the city center is less than 15 mins away by car. There's a lovely little garden in the back and we saw ducks, squirrels and even a fox!

A small binder on site to explain where everything is and advice about the area would be helpful, since you don't always want to scroll to all the messages you got over booking to find the relevant info. Also, whoever did the dusting must have been a bit on the small side, since they didn't reach the lamp-shades on the ceiling. ^_~ The tap in the kitchen was dripping, the toilet seat was cracked and while all but one of the heaters worked and heated the apartment well, they were a bit damaged, with the side panel of the units coming apart a bit. What also would be helpful is a drying rack for clothes (if there was one, we didn't find it), since sometimes you have fabrics that are too sensitive for the dryer. Also, more shelving space in the bathroom would be good.

Cosy and quiet place

It is a very nice and quiet location. On the other hand, it is only 5 minutes walk to stores, pubs and very close to the bus station. It is cosy and equipped with everything you need.

Bathroom could use some extra shelf and more hooks to hang clothes adn towels.

Excellent location, good sized apartment with a sweet garden and parking. Handy for shops, buses etc. the owner was very helpful. Beds comfy, works well enough for a short break we had five nights.

Needs some basic maintenance and TLC, eg cracked toilet seat, loose dripping tap in kitchen. My bedroom window catch felt loose so I didn't dare open it in case it broke. Bath tap not working as per instructions so needed to use shower head to fill bath. Oven - not sure what was happening but fumes got bad after using.

Nicely located house in Oxford

Location is amazing as Summertown shops is only a few minutes away. I stayed here with my family for my degree ceremony so very grateful that we could explore Oxford easily and cook sometimes. Danny was very communicative and accommodating, thanks so much!

The shower could be improved. The water pressure is amazing but the water cannot drain fast enough to balance it. Water also tends to splash out due to the way the shower is shaped.

Everything we expected.

The apartment had everything we needed. The location was ideal for us to access Blenheim palace. Also close to the park and ride which we used for a trip into Oxford. Good instructions for finding and accessing the garage and apartment keys. Danny very quick to reply to a small query we had.

Nothing to dislike, the only thing missing was a tea towel for drying the dishes. The garage is a tight squeeze especially when in a hire car!

Erg prettig huis als uitvalsbasis naar Oxford of omgeving

Het huis was fijn, ruim, schoon en ook de locatie was erg aangenaam!. Het was ook van alle gemakken voorzien met ruim voldoende kleine dingetjes als keukenrol, handdoeken, theedoeken, vaatwastabletten etc.etc. Gewoon erg compleet.

Het enig minpunt is dat de bedden net aan de korte kant zijn ( Ik ben 194 cm). Verder helemaal geen minpunten. De garage is smal maar het gaat wel (Renault scenic past)

Ideaal geleden, maar heeft onderhoud nodig.

Ideaal gelegen om de stad te bezoeken. Winkels en bushaltes waren vlakbij. De eekhoorns en zelfs een vos in de tuin waren een leuke bonus. Er was voldoende ruimte in het zit- en eetgedeelte van het appartement.

De garage is echt smal, zeker voor auto's met het stuur aan de linkerkant. Onze Toyota Verso paste er nog nét in. Vooral in de slaapkamers rook het vochtig. Er stonden wel overal vochtvreters, maar die zaten al vol vocht en hadden dus al vervangen moeten worden. Het appartement was niet 100% proper. Er lagen nog kruimels onder de tafel, bijvoorbeeld en er hingen verschillende spinnenwebben en stofdraden boven ooghoogte. Alle verwarmingstoestellen vielen bijna uit elkaar en leken niet veilig om te gebruiken. Gelukkig was het mooi weer en hadden wij ze niet nodig. De ventilatoren zagen er ook niet meer goed uit, de roosters waren roestig en vuil.

Dekbedovertrek stonk naar natte hond. Waarschijnlijk te lang in vochtige wasmachine gezeten. Deuren (vooral douchedeur) klemmen en maken wat slaand geluid bij openen/sluiten. Hierdoor klachten van bovenliggende buren.

Le garage, beaucoup trop petit et impossible d'y entrer à cause des autres propriétaires qui ne savent pas non plus y rentrer et qui se garent devant. La télé inutilisable et les radiateurs qui ne fonctionnent pas, à l'exception d'un des 2 dans le séjour.
