Adequate for the amount we paid

The property was kept very clean with clean towels and tea, coffee, biscuits etc. and a fridge which we used.

The little back garden was very run down and there was a used toilet brush left on the patio!

No sleep

well-equipped near the center

The studio is well-equipped and the location is good, but all of that is in vain if there aren't clear rules about noise. They put me in the Hazel studio – write that name down! If you stay there, it will be your nightmare; it's very noisy. The other guests are very rude due to a lack of clear rules, so I don't recommend staying more than one night, otherwise you'll regret it like I did – I couldn't sleep.

A nice budget option close to the Oxford train station

"Osney Hazel Studio - Self Contained Studio" is a nice budget option close to the Oxford train station. Lynn & Peter were welcoming and ensured an easy check-in/out (door code + lockbox for keys). We only spent one night there and, overall, were happy with this choice.

The interior could use an update (e.g., old carpets, shower towels) and we struggled a bit with the hot/cold controller of the shower, but else it was a nice stay and we appreciated the free coffee/cookies. Yes, I would stay there again.

The studio was very comfortable, had everything you need for a short trip away to Oxford. Fantastic location. Very comfortable bed. Very proactive when I asked a question.

The room got very cold in the evening and couldn't manage to get the heater to work; however I quite like a very cold room to sleep in so I didn't bother to ask and I'm sure it would have been sorted quickly if I did ask.

Might be a good location but not a comfortable stay

Not far from train station.

1. Gagged at smell of sewage/staleness on first entering room. Had to air by opening French doors and buy air freshener. Occurred periodically throughout stay, mainly coming from bathroom. 2. Bed mattress incredibly soft and topper doesn't fit properly. Couldn't sleep well. 3. As house conversion, no soundproofing at all so can hear everything of other guests movements. 3. Little things would be helpful like a bin in the bathroom, microwave plate cover, suitcase rack.

Cheaper than average but not necessarily cheerful

Token plant, warm, convenient, cheaper than local average. Hosts were friendly and instructions clear and accurate. In a quiet area half a mile east of train station. Ok for 1 night stay.

Grubby, lots of fingermarks and poor paintwork. Very noisy boiler that kept waking us both up. Temperamental shower and persistent smell of drains. Very very soft mattress with ill fitting sheets. Concerns over USB wiring as plugged in cables immediately became very very hot.

Location was excellent.

Very grubby, lots of spiders & webs, blind on window extremely dirty , one shelf in the table unit was thick with dust. Mattress on the bed like a sponge. Lots of noise from above apartment & stairs , front door bangs loudly.

The accommodation was clean and tidy. It was small but fine for our stay and was great value for money. The host was very approachable and quickly sorted out parking for us. It was very close to the centre of Oxford and we could walk into the city, which was ideal.

Nice apartment. Good facilities. Nice little patio. Good shower room.

The mattress was extremely soft. I appreciate that it's a personal choice but stilling on the bed, flattened the mattress so you were still on the bed base. Not a major issue.

The location was convenient to the centre of Oxford.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the outdoor space had not been tended to for a long time. The decor was very worn and at times it could be noisy with other guests coming and going.

You get what you pay for. Garden nothing special. Handy to station and that's about it but I was only there overnight so it was adequate. A bit of noise from other rooms. The room was spacious though.

Superb and would and will highly recommend it.

Location was excellent, was easy to find ones way into and back from town center. The room was well equiped and very functional. Multiple Restaurants / Pubs and supermarket, Sainsbury, within easy distance. Scenic walks close by on the river. Overall a very pleasurable experience and well worth the charges for the accomodation, especially compared to others we have stayed at for similar costs. Refer to "what we did not Like" other than the parking we would have given this a 10 out of 10.

Although we were able to use a free "at weekend" laybye parking or there is a municipal pay park near by, it could be a problem. This situation was explained before booking but it would help if maybe an arrangement could be made with the business next door that has a rather, at our time, not largely used parking area at the back. If not for the parking issue it would have been an exceptional for everything.

I might be choose this place if I would come to the Oxford.

Everything was above average except only isolation. I was staying the room where is under the stairs and when somebody use the upstairs it make sounds a lot. Besides, the room wasn’t warm enough

The room was clean and an ideal location from the centre.

When we first arrived there was an extremely unpleasant smell, masked by a strong smell of bleach, which made my partner feel unwell. The mattress was extremely soft and uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin and people were moving around upstairs until late, and started again around 5:45am. Also, this is not a studio FLAT. Other than a microwave, this is no more than just a standard en-suite bedroom.

Geen mooie locatie, achterbuurt gevoel; het stonk vreselijk binnen in het appartement (rioollucht); het bed was veel te zacht; gaten in de gordijnen; kapotte jaloezien waar een hoop dode vliegjes onder lagen; vuile vloerbedekking; het tuintje wat erbij hoorde daar stond het gras 30 cm hoog en op het terrasje bij de schuifdeur stond een wc borstel en vuilnisbak met afval!??

La ubicación

Hacía muchísimo frío por la noche, el único radiador de la habitación no calentaba lo suficiente. Mucho ruido proveniente de las otras habitaciones, no dormí. Falta de un fregadero o un lavabo más grande para poder usar la kettle y fregar las tazas.
