Comfy, clean with a fabulous host.

The Garden Room was lovely super comfy and really clean. Everything you would need is available including a jar of biscuits and a jug of milk so you can make a brew, tea bags and coffee pods are also provided. The bed is quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in with fluffy pillows and cotton bedding. It truly is a gem for accommodation in Oxford. Dawn (the host) is super friendly and on hand if you should need anything.

There were absolutely no negatives.

Nice cosy place, but not great value for money from a comfort POV.

Cosy space with a nice kitchen area, good wifi, pillows were very comfortable. The host came out to greet us as we were heading out to dinner and she was nice.

It was so cold - we set the heating a few times and it just didn’t warm up. The bathroom floor tiles were absolutely freezing - we didn’t sleep well due to it being so cold. We followed the instructions on the laminated paper and it just didn’t warm up. The bathroom is very small - nowhere to put toiletries etc. We also found the towels very rough. The walkway down to the garden is so dark, we had to use our phone torches to avoid puddles and to do the key safe. These small elements really do make for an uncomfortable stay. This stay was not worth the price of £127 per night - unfortunately we were left wishing we had booked a hotel instead.

Fabulous stay in Oxford suburbs.

Small but perfectly equipped, very clean, very comfortable. Exactly what was needed for an overnight stay and could have worked for longer. Even a toaster, coffee machine and microwave were packed into tidy spaces. Very comfy king size etch makes such a difference. Easily warmed with under floor heating and very convenient for walking into Oxford. And also offstreet parking. What's not to like! An excellent stay and Dawn was super helpful and immediately amenable to some small concessions for us. A great host.

Comfortable enjoyable stay in Oxford

Very comfortable & spotlessly clean with very friendly host and lovely ambience as the garden room is in the garden with beautiful apple trees just outside the door. The bed was very comfortable and we loved that there was a fridge and some kitchen facilities. Coffee, tea, biscuits & milk were provided too which was really appreciated :) Great location for us as a lovely walk close by into Oxford by the river & green fields but also there is a bus stop just outside the property with frequent buses into the centre of Oxford. We appreciated the little cafe and Co-op too which is just across the road, a 2 minute walk. Dawn kindly offered us apples which looked delicious but we forgot to get some when leaving. Would highly recommend this lovely accommodation in Oxford so much nicer than a hotel room & very reasonably priced.

Nice compact accomodation

This is a very compact accommodation but it contains everything that is needed for a short stay. It is a few minutes from the John Radcliffe hospital with off street parking. It was very hot while we stayed so the air con was much appreciated. The host was very helpful.

The best stay during UK trip!

Love everything in the room, layout, facilities, view of backyard. Toilet is the best for cabin, u will not feel inside a cabin while in the room. Biscuits and coffee machine and capsules provided. Bed was comfy. Will definitely repeat.

Cant rate this place highly enough - perfectly formed and located!!!!

The accommodation was spacious and extremely well thought out: with large comfy bed with high thread count cotton bed linens, super well equipped and laid out lounge/kitchen/eating areas, lovely and private deck accessed through bifold doors so you could open up whole area on the lovely garden views. Bathroom was generous size so you didn’t feel cramped. Throughout the accommodation there were plenty of sockets & USB sockets and shelving and spaces just where you needed it to put down your stuff. Really got the sense that the host - who was warm and welcoming - had really done her homework and had carefully created the space so it felt both extremely comfortable and stylish but also wholly practical for the guest. It was spotlessly clean, with nice touches like complimentary tea, coffee, milk & biscuits. The bus stop right outside the house took you right into Oxford city centre in 15 mins and ran every 15 mins. The air con was an absolute life saver! Can’t thank you enough when it was 32 degrees during our stay.

Comfortable, private garden room close to JR Hospital

Comfortable, King size bed. Lovely little bathroom with hand soap and shower gel. Plenty of towels and a bath mat. The kitchenette has a microwave, kettle and nespresso coffee machine. It was a lovely touch to find some fresh milk in the fridge and tea bags and coffee pods provided - I was able to enjoy a hot drink in the morning while I got ready. Pretty garden with private deck at the back, gorgeous bifold doors which open up the whole back of the room. Very conveniently located for John Radcliffe Hospital, it was a 20 min walk in. A really comfortable stay and I would book this again.

The only negative is that I arrived at night time and a few more outside lights would have been welcome.

Very peaceful and we loved the outdoor seating. Very comfortable bed. The location was great - less than a minute to the bus stop and the buses were very frequent to the centre. Would stay again if we visit Oxford in future.

It’s location and carparking space. The car (and luggage) were off-road and safe and the walk into the city centre was easy and enjoyable (through University fields), or the X3 bus took 20 minutes from outside the house.

Duvet was a little too small for the bed.

Living like home with pretty garden in front. 2 small bottles of both red and white wine for complimentary. Everything is good and pretty. Location is not far from city center (need to drive or go by bus).

The bed is very good (soft with good cushions) but the size is a bit small for 2 big persons and the bath and total room size is quite small, but that’s ok for 1 night

Excellent stay,

There was no breakfast served. No problem, we used the kettle and some food from the nearest Co-op; there is a coffee machine in the room, and also a couple of cafés nearby. The garden is very nice. A bus stop is two steps from the property; but we did not use it, preferred walking. The host was very kind allowing us to park the car on the drive earlier and to leave it after the sign-out while we visited museums in the city. She came to ask kindly if we needed anything. We really enjoyed staying there.

A little additional table in the room for a laptop would help.

Effortless, well-provisioned, and great value for money.

Very easy and fuss-free. Near a bus stop with direct connection to the station. Private and quiet. Room was well-appointed with everything I needed.

No one's fault, but it was quite far from the centre. Couldn't enjoy cafes, promenades in the evening. Also, with the great window onto the garden and the solstice sun, it was infernally hot. A fan was thoughtfully provided, but still, sleeping was not easy. There was also a lack of usable surface. Almost no desk or shelf space to lay out my stuff. Toiletries had to be fished out of my suitcase one by one. Advice to owners - a shelf under the bathroom mirror would make a big difference. I had to buy my own coffee. They offered some over-complicated capsule things, but there was only decaf. Also, they offered sugar, but no salt and pepper, which would have been useful in the absence of catering facilities.
