Great, would go again if needs be.

Great bed. Comfortable place to lay my head.

Shower fluctuated between hot and cold. Wasn't able to get a shower in the morning. Also no coffee or tea on offer.

Not value for money and unclear on booking that we would get so little

Only a bed. No TV and no private tea/coffee facilities. We were told we could make our own in the kitchen, but the residents were in there cooking already

Accommodation good, communication difficult

The place was comfortable, clean enough and very good value for money. The hosts were lovely and friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the room was a great size. We were even given bottles of water, apples and bananas and were able to make tea/breakfast using their kitchen. Cannot fault the accommodation at all, just the communication was lacking at times unfortunately.

Communication was a bit touch and go. They initially told us we had to cancel our booking because a double room was for two people and we were three people, yet I had booked two rooms. I was then told that they only had one double room. On further enquiry, they said they had a double room and single room, but upon my asking whether these two rooms were available for us for the date we'd booked, I never received an answer until the day of our stay, so I wasn't sure until then we'd actually have a bed to sleep in that night! That was a bit nerve-wracking and communication should definitely be improved.

I would stay again but...

The friendly home keepers, the lovely garden. Very clean family home. Towel offered. Comfy bed. Free WIFI!!!

Not having tea making facilities. Although the friendly Govin did make me a coffee in the morning. Not having an off road parking space so having to move my car at 8am. Local area, there were a few intimidating people out, I was glad it was light. No information was given or shown upon arrival

The description on Booking.com did not accurately reflect the reality.

The male host was reasonably friendly and eventually agreed to move his car so we could park in the driveway.

We arrived around 6:20 pm and found no one at the property. There was no signage, contact number, or clear instructions, and we had to ask a neighbour to confirm we were at the correct address. The host returned about 15 minutes later but did not offer any apology for the delay or confusion. The guest room is located downstairs and directly connected to the kitchen of a private family home, which meant there was limited privacy. Although the listing stated that kitchen facilities were available - including a dining table, toaster, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and kitchenette - we were unable to use any of them, as the host was cooking in the kitchen during our stay. The listing also mentioned outdoor furniture, a dining area, and a garden, which sounded appealing. However, the host’s family occupied the outdoor space most of the time, so we didn’t feel comfortable going outside and kept the curtains closed for privacy. Parking was another concern. While the listing implied that parking was available, the street requires a permit outside limited hours. Fortunately, the host allowed us to use the driveway after we asked. The room would benefit from a few basic amenities, such as drinking glasses and tea and coffee-making facilities.
