Riverside Apartment Oxford

The apartment is in a quiet location within a block of flats off the road. Our car had broken down and this was a last minute booking and the owner returned to the flat to ensure it was clean for us. He had been and is making improvements to the property and had to clear his handiwork away. We left our luggage and went for something to eat whilst he did this. There are two pubs in walking distance. The one we stopped at (The Holly Bush) had fresh pizzas from their brick oven with decent beer to go with them. The beds were comfortable. Though we did not use it the kitchen facilities looked adequate for a stay. There is a pleasant walk along the canal nearby.

The flat is in the process of renovation. There is potential there but not quite yet, as such it felt cluttered.

Amazingly convenient location within 10 minutes walk of the train station. Good kitchen facilities. Privacy and amount of space to make it a home away from home. Cleanliness upon check in was great. Incredible price given how near it is to both west gate shopping, and train station, and how you get an entire apartment. Beautiful area of the city. Loved walking along the canal every morning.

There were a couple of minor things like a power point near the bed that needed fixing. (This was well signposted and mitigated by the host providing an extension lead and power board) All well within what you would expect for the price. Perhaps a picture on the wall or a plant in the living room could have made it feel less Spartan, but ultimately I have no complaints. Would definitely stay again.

The location was lovely. Next to the river, very quiet and residential. Only a 15min walk for town centre. Loved the many windows as the weather was warm.

The cleanliness was a bit questionable. Not sure that the extra linens for the sofa bed were fresh.
