Convenient location
Very, very cheaply furnished. Poor state of repair. Cramped. No heating in bathroom. Limited heating throughout. Thin duvet; coverlet for a single not double bed. Only one plug for microwave & kettle so only one or other can be used. Kettle / microwave plug socket in awkward to reach location. Access stair lighting too short a duration so plunged into darkness half way down.

The location is close to the town centre and station. The staff were very helpful. The road and area are quiet.
The decor is dated and the laminate floor cracked. Also through the night the pipes were making loud noises and I was woken up multiple times,

Nothing
It was one of 5 very small apartments, in a small terrace house, specially converted for multiple occupation. The stair case had been foreshortened to make the space for drainage from 5 toilets. No fire certificate, no fire safety drill, no what to do in event of emergency document. Only one front door lock, and 5 internal lock boxes outside each door. Our appartment very very basic. Potentially Dangerous premises, I felt. Felt unsafe, and at £144 for the night a total rip off. Oxford council should get on top of this. Is this compliant with HMO regulations, I wonder

The property was in very close proximity to Oxford station and made an excellent trip that much more comforting.
The cozy feel of the room and its professional appearance made me feel welcome and secure.
Nothing springs to mind.

The place was dirty and the bed was broken with a huge hole in the base and the mattress sagged on one side. The window was broken and didn't shut properly, as was some of the floorboards, and one of the wardrobe doors which fell on me when I opened it. The apartment and the walls were generally pretty filthy and there was mould in the bathroom as well.

Location was central to our needs although there was construction detours near by. Communication was good.
Tiny room. Thought I was getting a washing machine. Poorly appointed and cleaning regime definitely needs improving. Stairs very narrow and steep. Would not recommend for anyone elderly or with mobility issues.

Comfortable bed.
I had not realised there was ONLY a microwave (no hob) and the only place to eat was a small desk in the bedroom. The flat does need some updating (cracks in the flooring, window catch in the bedroom needs attention).

location
The pictures are obviously old as the place no longer looks that fresh. The floor is cracked in places, and the shower head slides down the pole, so you can't wash your hair. The bathroom is dirty and rusty and needs work, The soap dispenser leakes the whole place needs a refresh. no facilities to cook as no cooker and utencils overall a disappointment.

It’s a very clean, tidy, reasonable priced and very near the train station.
the walls are very thin, so the sounds in the buildings are quite noisy and frequent, especially the steps from upstairs from late in the evening to early in the morning(7:30ish). not suitable for light sleepers.

Good location and clean place
Good place to stay

The location of the property is very convenient.
Unfortunately I could hear everything step, movement of furniture and flush of a toilet coming from the other flats in the same building. The room wasn't very clean, there were cobwebs in the bathroom and a fly in the fridge. The mattress was too soft and the telly wasn't able to connect to the WiFi.

Very close to Oxford station and the city centre. No complaints about the main bedroom at all. Was clean and presentable.
Bathroom has cob webs and flies scattered around the room. Dead flies and alive ones. Bathroom was the biggest let down. Aspects of the bathroom just looked unkept and rundown. Peeling tiles, mould etc

Accommodating to change our room to a ground floor

Location is great
The noise. Did not sleep at all / constantly heard the pipes rattling?
Walls are paper thin so you hear every convo movement etc of others

Great location and easy access
Poor quality linens - especially a scratchy pillowcase. Very noisy building especially the staircase and wooden floors above meaning a lot of disturbance at night and in the morning.

It's central. Close to the train station.
It's not an appartement. The room is small with a stove in the entrance. There's barely space to put your suitcase. There's mold in the bathroom. It's quite noisy as you can hear all the other rooms. It's expensive.

The train station was a 5 minute walk away & an easy 15 minute walk to the city centre.
Quiet neighbourhood.
The house is old, the room was small & tired.
There was damp on the windowsills, furniture was dated.
We stayed for 3 nights and the room was not cleaned, although that was not a major problem at least one change of towels would have been nice.
Our major problem was inconsiderate guests staying in the room above who kept us awake until 4am the first night by slamming doors, banging & crashing around throughout the night.
I contacted Yolanda the following morning via message & she responded within minutes & promised to talk to them. Unfortunately the noise continued the following night and on our final night the excessive noise continued until at least 5.30am.
We left the following morning after just 1 hours sleep!
The main problem is the owner does not live on the premises so any problems cannot be resolved immediately so we had to endure the excessive noise all night before we could even make a complaint.
If you want a guaranteed goods night sleep DO NOT STAY HERE!

Everything. It met my expectation.
I got value for my money

Easy check-in, location very close to train station and city center, had a hair dryer!
4.0 / 10.0
Close to station. The self-contained apartment did not exist.
A microwave-yes. Welcome tea & coffee-yes. But not even a teaspoon. No plates or utensils. Yes, a fridge & kettle, but that was all!
Undisclosed steep narrow stairs.
5.0 / 10.0
Location was within walking distance of centre. Quiet residential street.
This very small terraced house has been adapted to earn the maximum amount of money (at least 6 rentable places in a tiny terraced house!): and yet it felt quite cheaply done, grubby and sterile. Miserable, tired place, on the whole. A bit seedy. I paid £105 for a night which was excessively overpriced for what it was.

Excellent little spot for an overnight stay in Oxford, short walk into town, quiet neighbourhood and comfy bed, without making a huge hole in one’s pocket. Will definitely stay again
