Lovely apartment but very noisy

Modern, clean and comfortable

Extremely noisy overnight as taxi company underneath. Loudest at 4am in the morning Thumping music and arcade machines also heard People talking loudly throughout the night.

Amazing apartment and location

Beautiful apartment - high quality fixtures and furniture. Quality comfortable beds and linen. Spotlessly clean and classy. Location cant be beaten particularly with the car parking space

We had a good stay as we could walk everywhere in Oxford.

The location was great and the check in was very easy.

In the middle room, the bed was broken and there was no bedside table. Also one of the nights, people were shouting in the road in front.

Clean an spacious

The flat is located in a very convenient area with easy access to bars and restaurants. We were there for our daughter’s graduation, and the distance to the ceremony venue was only a 10-minute walk. The flat had sufficient facilities in every respect, and the air conditioning, although noisy, was cool.

Exactly below this flat is a taxi company, and during our stay, since the weather was hot, we had to keep the windows open, which made the outside noise more disturbing. Contrary to previous comments that complained about passenger noise, I think the taxi drivers should be reminded to make less noise. For example, at 6 AM on Sunday, one of the drivers decided to sing local Urdu or Hindi songs very loudly and badly, or the loud laughter and jokes while smoking, especially during late or early hours, was very annoying.

Fabulous hidden gem in central Oxford

Beautifully presented and in a wonderful central location

There was a little noise from the taxi rank downstairs however ear plugs were provided and it didn't disturb our sleep.

Lovely space, great location - but be aware of night-time noise from cab firm underneath

Location great - slap bang in the centre. Beautifully appointed, well stocked, very clean space (although the A/C unit in the living space needs some attention - very noisy and the filter needed changing) Having a parking space outside was a real win - and just outside Oxford low emissions zone (as of July 2025)

This property is directly above a cab firm, so literally all night we were awoken by the sound of cars coming and going to jobs, drunken punters jumping in to cars at the end of their nights (latest was 4am) and in between jobs, cabbies talking at the top of their voices to each other out in the car park, directly below our bedroom window, seemingly totally oblivious to the fact that the first floor above them has been converted in to a high end holiday let. We asked them to be quiet, however to no avail - as such, the people who've converted this need to have a word with the cab firm below or their project will be compromised. They also need to supply cotton sheets, because in the summer heat the polyester blend was borderline insufferable. We asked about this beforehand, however were told (and accepted) that 100% cotton sheets weren't possible

It was fairly noisy at night, from the taxi office and arcade below. The smell of cigarette smoke from down there also came through into the apartment.

A spacious clean flat located in the centre of Oxford with helpful hosts, but noisy at night.

This self-catering flat was very comfortable, and being located right in the centre of Oxford with a parking space was great. There are lots of food options close to the flat. The hosts were very helpful when we had a problem with the travel cot and responded quickly.

Beautiful property in a perfect location.

The property is beautiful, first class decor and furnishings, with a location that just couldn't be better for the city centre. It was an absolute pleasure to have this as our retreat during our stay.

It's such a shame that the taxi office downstairs gets so noisy especially in the early hours. The ear plugs are a thoughtful touch, but voices and shouting seem to carry loudly into the bedroom.

Excellent central location in a very clean and well-equipped apartment.

Very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Everything was very well looked after and high quality fittings etc. Not only were linens provided but also extras like dishwasher tablets and shower gel. When we did have an issue, communication was prompt and the problem was dealt with immediately.

Other reviews have mentioned noise which is expected with a central location. It was noisy at night but with decent ear plugs it wasn’t an issue. The rooms were all very comfortable.

The flat was so nice! It was really modern and came stocked with lots of toiletries. It was really spacious for a large group, really clean, I would absolutely stay here again!

The entrance to the flat has a strange entrance in an alleyway, but other than that, the flat was perfect.

The good bits.... The location is wonderful - a short walk to all the sights, really convenient for shops, restaurants, bars and public transport. The flat itself is stunning. Really well laid out, we particularly liked sinks in the non-en suite bedrooms. Cleanliness- the flat was spotless. The en-suite room is amazing - the bed is HUGE and really comfy.

The bad bits... Communication with the host was poor. Pre-booking questions were unanswered. Post booking questions were ignored. The listing is mostly accurate. But the place is really hard to find, and there are no clear instructions (the door has no number or house name on it, the parking space is not clearly signed). And in terms of parking, there is only a single parking space available. Whilst this is amazing for Oxford, this isn't stated on the listing (simply says private parking may be arranged), and when we enquired about arranging parking for 3 cars, the communication was ignored until 2 days before our arrival. (On a side note, park and ride is brilliant in Oxford, and convenient for the flat). The noise! As others have stated, the noise from the taxi-rank and arcade under the property meant zero sleep for those of us in the front bedrooms (the en-suite bedroom isn't quite so badly affected). As customers for the taxi company queue up outside the flat there is also a lot of smoke (even if the windows are closed), with cigarette butts dropped outside the door and taxi customers trying to enter the flat late at night. The bunk beds in one of the rooms are a bit rickety. Would be absolutely fine for kids, but we were a group of adults, and thankful only 1 of us needed to use the bunk beds as we're not sure they would have survived 2 adults using them (we did ask about whether they were suitable before we booked, but got no response...see first comment about communication!)
