Perfect

Apartment was beautiful, spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom on both levels with good quality products provided. 5 minute walk to York Minster, parking space was an added bonus. Andy was great from booking last year to leaving, communication great. Brilliant information pack for anyone who doesn’t know the area, 2 minute walk to supermarket.

Not an issue for us but if any mobility issues the stairs could be a problem

Great stay in York

Lovely apartment, downstairs mattress was soooo comfortable. Great location would happily go back.

The nest thermostat had been set at 24 degrees c in the morning so the apartment was really hot and stuffy in the morning. Recommend checking the heating settings while there so you don't end up feeling like you are in a sauna.

Fab location & parking - a lovely little spot!

The communication was excellent, the owner was flexible, and the location was excellent for a short walk to the town centre, museum gardens and minutes walk from the station too. The allocated parking was a huge bonus. The layout was quirky and gave each couple private space/facilities. Lovely kitchen area and bathrooms, well-equipped. You can see the owners have put thought and effort into the facilities, furnishings etc. Overall a great place - particularly for a short break. I'm from York, so know the area well. Good value for money.

The twin bed mattresses could be improved - but I slept ok during a three-night stay. The property is more compact than expected. Communal entrance could do with a coat of paint - doesn't give the best first impression, but not within the owner's control I'm sure. Don't be put off :)

Difficult instructions to access on arrival. Top floor no lift. Beds very small and shower room tiny. Very poor towels. Disappointed

A great apartment in a prime location, just 5 to 10 minutes walk to the centre of York. Our host could not have done enough to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

Great location, clean and very comfortable.

Fantastic location, it’s only a short walk from the train station and the city centre. Lots of great pubs and places to eat close by too. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We really liked that there were 2 floors, the bedrooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

It’s ok everything works

Fairly convenient to commute into city centre attic room looked nice with bathroom but the 2 single beds were in that room

Says its sleeps 2-6 people only really a 3-4 person back bedroom was lacking character and had a sterile feel about it shower and toilet on that level a bit cramped been better if double bed was in the attic and singles in the back bedroom also the sofa bed thing in the living area really uncomfortable just to sit on wouldn’t like to sleep on that kitchen bit ok but only had really large cups to make cuppas few smaller ones around would have been better

Fab location, super clean and great value for money. Would definitely use again

Only one thin hand towel in top floor bedroom. Used one from the other bedroom. The key for the postbox is a little awkward to open (thought we’d got the wrong key). Andy answered our call straightaway to confirm we’d got the right key. It’s also quite high so anyone who is smaller in height would not be able to reach (as in my friend’s case)

Wonderful location in the city of York

The friendly communication from Andy from the first booking. Comfiest sofa with pull out section to make it a huge one.

The heating was wonderful but just extremely warm throughout the night, managed to turn it down using the helpful book guide and the nest dial behind the door.

Bootham Terrace

Great location with off road parking, didn't hear any noise at night either, so that was a bonus. Only a 10 minute walk into city centre. Room was clean bed was comfortable, shower was nice and hot, also had a bath tub upstairs with two more single beds. The apartment had all the facilities we needed, so would definitely recommend this place to others.

We were ok with the stairs upto the top floor( 3 flights)...but could be challenging for people with disabilities.

Comfy accommodation in a perfect location for a great price

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this excellent property. It is very comfortable and comes with everything you could need - towels, toiletries, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher etc. It is a short walk from the train station and also has handy parking. There are plenty of amenities nearby in terms of grocery shops, pubs, and restaurants. The host, Andy, is very helpful and kind. This property is ideally-located to visit the main sights of York (like the Minster, Shambles, Jorvik museum, City Walls, and Railway museum) or to take day trips further afield across Yorkshire and northern England. For its price, this property offers excellent value for money. I strongly recommend this property and will certainly be keen to stay again in the future.

Lovely apartment, great location

The location was perfect, we had a family wedding at the Museum Gardens so just a short walk away, near the centre of town so easy to walk to the sights and pubs, it was nice and modern, had everything we needed, the beds were really comfy! The parking space was a great bonus!! Andy was a great help with the booking and communication was great!!

Nothing to not like really, apart from the sofa bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable, we couldn't really get the TV to work properly but that didn't bother us at all

We’ve taken 3 day breaks in York for the past ten years or so. This apartment was the best we’ve stayed in. Not just in York but anywhere.

I know other people have mentioned the steps up to the apartment. Seriously, they are no problem at all. We are both in our early 70’s and did them without effort. They are in four short rises of ten and one last one of five. Absolute doddle.

We had a lovely family break in the beautiful city of York and the apartment was perfect.

I know York well but especially love Bootham so the location and the very short walk to Bootham Bar and within the city walls was perfect. Andy was a very friendly, attentive host and had thought of everything in the lovely apartment. The parking arrangement was also great.

The location was prefect for walking into York centre, having parking was a bonus, the apartment was clean and comfortable and warm upon arrival, There was everything we needed for our 2 night stay, the showers were good with plenty of hot water. We look forward to our next stay.
