The property is located near to all amenities pubs restaurants shops that you want for your stay

Having to put in a code to get into the property and then put in another code to enter the apartment wasn’t ideal but on the other hand not having a key to worry about was a plus.Having 1 toilet was an issue because if one of us was using the shower the other couldn’t use the toilet.The noise from outside Yates was loud but stopped at 1.

It’s central location and the kindness of the staff

Could be quieter but it’s the price you pay for the central location

Great central location for exploring York.

I am by no means a clean freak but Unfortunately, the first thing we noticed in the flat was the dirt around all the windows. The windows are obviously quite old and have an additional sliding section on the inside whether this is to reduce noise from outside or to prevent damage I’m not sure but these could be slid open so you could actually access the window and open it but unfortunately around every single window ledge on the inside was absolutely filthy with cobwebs dust and dirt and obviously haven’t been cleaned in a very long time. The plug hole cover in the kitchen was also dirty. The general cleanliness of the rest of the accommodation was okay but this place is definitely in need of a deep clean and considering there was a £30 cleaning fee included I would’ve expected it to be cleaner. I did message a few days before we went I ask if there were any toiletries or kitchen essentials. Unfortunately I did not get a reply until the day we came home which was of no use. There were kitchen essentials, washing up liquid, sponge, dishwasher tablets etc. It also stated that there was hand soap in the bathroom which there was but there was hardly anything left in it so hadn’t been topped up. There was nothing else in the flat and most places I have stayed previously have left at least a few items in the kitchen even if it’s only a few sachets of tea/coffee to start your stay but there was nothing. There is a Tesco extra very close but obviously we had to buy a whole jar of coffee for our 2 day stay. The TV is only connected to the internet so have to use iPlayer/ITV X etc. The blinds in the main living room area are also very difficult to use and I could only reach one by standing on the sofa.
