The location was great. It was a 15 / 20 min walk into York which was great as you could get your bearings along the way and see what was available or any easy bus ride. There was a folder with plenty of information about places to see and eat and bus timetables etc.. which was helpful. Overall the family enjoyed the stay. The house was perfect for our needs - Clean, quiet and easy parking out front.

The property was very clean and welcoming with milk, 'Yorkshire' tea, coffee and sugar, which was great after our long journey! Plenty of clean towels, toilet rolls and toiletries were also supplied :) Easy to use central heating. Very handy small bakery and butcher at the end of the road ( 3 mins ) With local buses into York city centre just minutes away.
We used the 'hop on hop off' tour bus to explore the city over two days, well worth doing as very reliable, informative and very entertaining

Great Location a corner shop, pub, butchers and bakers all within a 3 minute walk and a Co-Op 10 minute walk.
The Racecourse is 5 minutes away as well.
