Very central location for our needs.
The hosts texted the codes for the maind door and the flat before check-in time.
We visited during the week (Tue-Thurs) over the half-term and the nights were very noisy from the pub behind and the people on the street in front (including shops deliveries early in the morning). The venue has no control over this obviously, but it is something to be aware of before booking. We knew about it beforehand from the venue description and other comments and we didn't mind as we are all deep sleepers. We were very thoughtfully provided with ear plugs and sleep masks for 4 by the venue as well.
The hosts were very helpful at retriving an object we accidently left behind after checking-out - we really appreciated that.
The name of the place tied to the York's history - nice touch with an art work inside to match!
Just minor things - a frame of a bedroom mirror was damaged, but that didn't interfere with the usage or safety of it. A toilet paper holder not on the floor could have been more hygienic and handy, but we resorted to moving it to the other side so the roll didn't get wet when using the wash basin.

Perfect location, lovely rooms and kitchen area.
The shower drain hadn’t been unblocked before we arrived, the drain was so blocked up we had to do it🤢

We’ve used the flat previously as it’s very convenient for the Christmas market and the theatres
The downside is its proximity to the Yates wine bar at the rear. They play awful live music until well into the night and it’s very audible.

The flat was a comfortable size
Right behind there was a Yates Beer garden that was packed every night of our stay thus no sleep until the early hours. The walls in the flat were not clean. The entrance and staircase was filthy. No lid to the bins.
