The location and the first floor, second floor was problematic. The apartment is very nice and host was very responsive.
To get to the upper room the stairs are very steep, each step in as high as my knee, and if you are too tall you cannot stand properly, plus upper room has not a proper "bathroom", there's a bathtub on the side of the room and a small sink, the toilet itself is hidden in a very small space.

The host was extremeley friendly and responded almost immediately. The property was in a perfect quiet location not too far from the centre and the rooms were well equipped including bathrooms and kitchen. It felt like a cosy home from home.

Great apartment in a good location, just a short stroll along a quiet path between the houses to Monkgate. The apartment itself has everything you need. The kids loved the ladder stairs to the loft bedroom with its own rolltop bath! We also made use of the York monopoly game in the storage ottoman. The off street parking was a bonus, and the host kindly let us arrive early and leave our car a little longer after checkout. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing - but we noticed the blind in the loft needs fixing.
