Location is excellent, peaceful and easy walking to the centre and local shops/pubs if needed.
Sadly we were delayed on the morning of departure and as such, didn’t vacate until 10:21am. Checkout was 10am and the staff/host arrived at 10 and quite ungraciously told us to get out which really soured our stay. We were all changing upstairs and the cleaning could commence on the ground floor unencumbered so it was technically no delay for the staff! It was surprising as the staff communication on arrival was faultless! We all have bad days I suppose! We certainly did!

Incredible location, a hop skip and jump from all the main attractions in York. Lovely house with plenty of room and comfortable beds. We payed a very reasonable price given it was the school holidays and for such a large central location. We had 2 cars and although there is only a permit for one to park the host was helpful in recommending where to park the second car. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Only downsides were unfortunately one of the window blinds was damaged in the loft room so it was quite light, and in the main bathroom the shower was blocked with gunk so unusable our whole stay. Luckily there was a shower in the downstairs outdoor bathroom so this was only really a small inconvenience. When these two problems are fixed it’d be great!

The property was lovely , lots of rooms with fans a bonus, big table for meals and a lovely seating area for drinks
Front bedroom mattress not very comfortable, tried to recycle lovely lavender plant in the way. The chef wanted more chopping boards!

Location is great, less than 10 mins walk from attractions in central York. Parking was just right in front of the door and it's free, excellent! The house was very clean and fitted with amenities, appreciated.
The stair was quite steep (which is typical), which could poses challenge to elderly and young kids
