The most perfect cozy location for exploring Skye

The most beautiful little cabin on the most beautiful property on the most beautiful Isle! We did not want to leave! It was the perfect base for exploring Skye and the hosts were so lovely and kind- top notch hospitality. We would come back in a heartbeat. The kitchen had everything you needed and the hosts put together a top notch information binder. The cabin has gorgeous views and was impeccably clean. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

Absolutely perfect stay – even better than expected!

The Cruachan Cabin is a truly lovely place to stay on the Isle of Skye – even better than I imagined after reading the reviews. It’s comfortable and absolutely spotless (a solid 15 out of 10). The host was so kind and helpful, and the views are just stunning (especially the cows!). There were some really nice little touches, like finding eggs, milk, butter and cheese in the fridge, really appreciated! The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a quick meal. It’s also conveniently located, just a short drive from Portree. I completely fell in love with Skye and will definitely come back someday, and I’d love to stay at Cruachan Cabin again. Highly recommended!

Tranquil spot right in the centre of the Isle of Skye with access to all the beauty of the island.

The ADU was in a very tranquil location outside in the countryside. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The hosts provided fresh milk, eggs, toast and other materials for a breakfast. The wifi worked really well and the room took advantage of a great view overlooking the mountains and forest.

The shower was a little challenging, there are some low water pressure issues, which we understand are common in the area and so the water pressure was very weak and it was difficult to regulate between hot and cold water.

We loved the cabin and enjoyed the rural surroundings. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.

Everything you could want for a relaxing holiday

The cabin was very comfortable, peaceful, extremely clean and well kept. The hosts are very friendly, hospitable and helpful. The location is very convenient. I would highly recommend staying here if visiting the Isle of Skye and I hope to visit again in the future.

Cabin was exceptionally clean, modern and comfortable. Few items in fridge etc to welcome us was perfect. Had everything we needed and great views. Good location for touring north of skye and close to Portree.

Beautiful view, great location away from the crowds but close to amazing things to see. Very comfortable bed and great facilities. The kitchen was small bud had exactly what was needed and very easy to use. Can’t complain!

Silent and great stay.

Location was very silent. But you it is located very centrally to reach all the good places to visit. The refrigerator was equipped with things for a small breakfast and a bottle of wine was also available :-)

100% Recommend this accommodation. Absolutely beautiful place to stay in a nice quiet area. Perfect place to return to, to unwind after having days out walking and visiting places. I'd have lived there if I could. Hosts were very welcomming, helpful and friendly, very thoughtful of them to have supplies in the cabin, and the wine went down well. Would definately return again. Séjour Génial au Cruachan !

Le propriétaire - Mearn - était au petit soin. Le frigo était rempli de petites attentions pour le petit déjeuner et autre: œufs, lait, beurre, pain, thé, café. La kitchenette était très bien équipée et la chambre très confortable. La VMC de la salle de bain est bruyante mais peut s’éteindre d’un interrupteur ! Hessie - une petite chatte sauvage - vit autour de la maison, elle aime se faire caresser à la tête et c’était un réel plaisir d’être au milieu des vaches en pleine nature au calme !

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Willkommenspaket war sehr herzlich und praktisch (Brot, Butter, Käse, Eier, Joghurt...). Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll. Es hat alles, was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ideal.

Gemütliche Cabin mit super Lage

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber (es wurden sogar Toastbrot, Eier, etc. zur Verfügung gestellt). Die Lage ist sehr zentral auf Skye, Portree ist nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Die Cabin war extrem gemütlich und sehr sauber. Tolle Ausstattung in der Küche und das Bett ist auch sehr bequem. Absolute Empfehlung, ich würde die Unterkunft sofort wieder buchen!

Das Badezimmer hat einen kleinen Heizkörper für Handtücher, aber der wärmt den Raum nicht auf. Es war ein wenig ungemütlich kühl, aber auszuhalten. Ansonsten gibt es absolut nichts auszusetzen.

Emplacement magnifique et séjour agréable

Accueil très chaleureux des hôtes. Emplacement tranquille, situé à environ 15 minutes de Portree, vue magnifique sur les montagnes. Chambre propre et spacieuse, déco moderne. Kitchenette très bien équipée. La proximité des animaux (moutons et vaches) nous fait sentir en pleine nature !

La route vers la cabine est un peu difficile à naviguer (chemin étroit à une seule voie), mais en vaut la peine.

Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich zuvorkommend und unterstützend ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Die Cabin war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigt haben. Man fühlt sich dort einfach wohl und willkommen. Die Unterkunft ist perfekt gelegen, um zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der Isle of Skye zu fahren oder einfach in der Cabin die Aussicht auf die Landschaft zu genießen.

Ankommen und wohlfühlen!

Die Cabin ist so geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es ist so herrlich ruhig dort. Für Ausflüge ist es perfekt gelegen, In Portree ist man in 10 min, dort findet man alles was man braucht. Man kommt an und fühlt sich wohl und die Besitzer sind supernett!

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen!
