Perfect situation for two couples traveling together! The accommodations were lovely and in a beautiful setting. So many pretty and clever design and decorating aspects at the Sabhal and the layout was comfortable and well thought out. We enjoyed sharing meals together and found all that we needed for simple preparations. It was a pleasure to find fresh eggs, bread, butter and jam, coffee, tea, cocoa and cookies (biscuits). I also found the milk frother to be a wonderful invention, a perfect touch for morning coffee and cocoa. I now own one here at home :^) We found the location to be as hoped; central, peaceful, quiet with sheep in the fields and birds in the sky.
We enjoy meeting the host families we stay with and found Rachael to be engaging and welcoming. We regret that our mutually busy schedules did not allow more time to touch base. I still don't know the backstory behind the charming button wainscotting. I am sure there is one!

Quiet
Sign on the highway could be bolder. A mat at the entrance and just inside would be helpful to ensure that the guest keeps this lodging pristine. A microwave for self catering cooking would be helpful and paper towels to aid clean up. A little table outside with the chairs would be a nice addition. All in all it was clean, sweet, comfy and quiet with a lovely host.
