Was remote, cosy and secure just what I wanted and needed from my stay.

Cosy log burner and cozy bed
Small once you were in a wee while. Asked to purchase cooked breakfast as they also have rooms in the house and was told no they were full. Toilet being out with hut is ok but not ideal. Won't stay again but this is preference.

Cute place. Nice. Clean. So unique. The host was really nice. David was telling everything we need about the hut. We also get compliment like bread, oatmeal, short bread, coffee, water everyday. Everything was so nice. Thanks for welcoming us. PS: wait for the sunset, the view was amazing!
The toilet is 30m from the hut. I know , we've already been told about that. But it still a little bit not comfortable to go to Toilet in midnight especially when the weather was raining.

It was a unique experience very close to Portree. The cabin was exactly as shown in the photos and descriptions, with a very nice view of the lake. It is not a cabin in a remote location, but rather it is the only hut next to a guest house. Very nice experience overall! The host was very helpful.
The arrival was just a bit confusing, but we quickly realized we were in the right place. The host was also quite to point us out in the right direction.

The views were amazing with outside seating available to be able to enjoy it. Hut was clean and comfortable. Easy self check in and checkout. We appreciated the breakfast items :)
The parking situation was quite difficult at times, especially when returning late on and the car park would be rammed, more clearly marked parking spaces may be handy as some other guests parking wasn't the best which left little room available

It was very conveniently located, clean and tidy, and was a fun way to spend a few days in Skye.
The main downside was eating arrangements - at the time of our stay, all the restaurants in Portree and the surrounding areas had been fully booked, and a lack of facilities at the Shepards Hut to heat up food made it quite difficult to have a hot meal.

Loved everything about it! Fantastic location. The Shepherd Hut was superb, it was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. Adam and Emily are lovely hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional.
Only wish we could have stayed longer!

The hut is very sweet and cosy. The bed is comfy. The complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise. There is a lovely communal lounge to use which is very comfy and has amazing views.
The toilet available for the hut is very narrow!

Very cute little house away from the main building with it’s own parking space. Good privacy. Beautiful view on the water and close to Portree for restaurants as well as close to Fairy Glen for sightseeing!
Mattress was a bit thin for my preference but I’m picky. Bathroom was a bit far for going to bathroom at night, but totally understandable since we wanted the hut. The door banged a bit in the wind, but we were able to fix by putting a wedge in the door.

The hut is so fine and cosy. Stayed there with my teenage daugther - it was perfect for us two girls. I highly recommend this place. Everything is so fine, clean and feminine. Beautiful view. No problem that the private toilet and bathroom is in the main building. The hostess - Emily - is so sweet.

Wonderful location, easy to get to local hikes and the town. Very clean, very comfy bed. Private bathroom in the house. Place to park right next to hut. Nice little view of the lake. Heater inside hut as it got chilly at night.

Fantastic views around the property. Really cosy, comfy room. All the basic amenities you’d need. Great place to stay if you’re visiting various parts of the island like we did.

The hut was cozy, comfortable and charming. It is great for two people.
To be very clear for everyone—the hut does not have plumbing. No sink, no toilet, no shower. A private bathroom and shower is in the hotel lobby, just for the hut guests. It is about 100 feet away, an outdoor walk. Really not bad, just don’t be surprised.

We loved everything about it, hadn’t stayed in a shepherds hut before but this would make us book one again. It was compact but really well laid out and has everything you would need and more. There was a torch and umbrella for the short walk to bathroom and even a complimentary little breakfast despite it being room only. Also tea and coffee facilities and water. We’ll decorated, nice view and very cosy. Although in the B&B next door the bathroom was really clean, private not sharing with any other guests. If we wanted we had use of the lounge of the B&B and was a little communal fridge in there if required. Above and beyond all round.
The only thing we could say would be the bathroom is in the house about 20m walk away, but we knew this upon booking and so wasn’t an issue for us

Small details made our stay very comfortable and cosy. Lovely and warm with more space than you would expect. Complimentary tea and snacks topped it off nicely.

The shepherd’s hut is well decorated and contains all the elements you need for a comfy stay. The bed is super comfy, we loved the wood burner and appreciated the mini continental breakfast that was complimentary.
The absolute winners though was firstly the location - that view is just stunning. And also, the service - without Ed’s advice we wouldn’t have seen as much as we did on Skye, and we were made to feel completely at home to watch the England game by the hosts. We’ll definitely be back!
Nothing. Pretty much faultless.

Cute hut with nice little touches (fairy lights etc) lovely view of the setting sun and water.
Whilst it was fine to not have a bathroom within hut, would be good to have a little stove top to allow making own food.
Wifi to reach hut would also be good!

The hut was extremely cosy and very well decorated. I was initially worried I'd be cold but it was very well heated! I would highly recommend staying here!
