Perfect peaceful, beautifully furnished, comfortable lodge with stunning views

The host was very helpful and welcoming. The lodge was cosy, comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. The view was stunning both daytime and the dark skies filled with stars at night. Easy parking, peaceful, and great washing facilities. The welcome gift was very much appreciated too - especially the fresh eggs. Thank you.

Plenty of space and excellent facilities made the stay extremely enjoyable, and the owner, Christie, is a terrific host.

Excellent

A great facility particularly for couples doing self catering. All the mod cons are provided and I relished the opportunity to do some laundry. The hosts were engaging and supplied some freshly laid eggs. It is located within easy reach of Portree and is a good spot to access many of the sights Skye has to offer. Internet access was excellent.

Nothing really but I was challenged dealing with all the TV options/channels/streaming on offer.

Amazing location and views

The location was perfect for us. The views from the terrace or sitting inside were breathtaking. Stream running below the cottage was so soothing. Exceptional host with great communication and plenty of advices to give. Little touches like eggs from their own chickens and hamper basket full of goodies were really much appreciated. Would highly recommend to any couple for a great chill out

Super place for long stay

The apartment is located in a quiet countryside with great views of the hillside from the dinner area. Cheerful, kind and helpful hosts whom did prepare the place super clean stylised and comfy with 5 starred facilities. They are super considerate to provide us with lots of fresh eggs from their farm.since there is a shortage of eggs in the area. The kitchen is perfect with most of the seasoning, oil and spices. The coffee is wonderful too. The washer and dryer are in the laundry room next door .

Only downside is Lots of small insects in the evening.

The perfect stay in Isle of Skye, and close to many attractions. This home is more than fully equipped for a long stay. Book this if you can. My wife is an Airbnb Superhost… and she commented that this was the best accommodation, the most comfortable and most complete accommodation we have visited in 6 months of travel.

Christie came to pick me up at the beginning of the street. Very Kind, and supportive!

we were lucky with the season, lots of little lambs! Christie could not give us fresh eggs, since the local fox had stolen his chickens, and the new ones did not lay yet. to compensate he pointed out the spots where the wildlife came to drink.

Perfect place to stay and enjoy the visit to the Skye

Quiet and convenient location to stay and drive to all visitor attractions of the Island. only 10 minutes drive to Portree. Rural setting with lovely views of mountains and landscape. clean and quiet cottage with nice comfy bed, sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with power shower, laundry facilities etc. Parking outside the cottage. Above all the host was very welcoming. He showed us around the cottage and also gave useful local info about places to visit and eat. He left a hamper full of sweets,chocolates, a bottle of Prosecco, and also some freshly laid eggs which were useful as we arrived late evening after a long drive.

Cosy and comfortable luxury which exceeded our expectations

The welcome box (Champagne, whiskey, hot chocolate, cakes, etc.) exceeded our expectations. Riverside was so cosy and comfortable, fitted with lovely furniture and paintings. The bathroom was very spacious and the rainforest shower was superb. We couldn't fault this accommodation and would gladly recommend it to others. The views from the living room were stunning and included mountains and forests.

The road up to the accommodation was a bit tricky but you cant get the views without being a little off the beaten track.

A very enjoyable stay despite the weather and would certainly recommend this property without doubt.

The fixtures and fittings were of an excellent quality. The owner had paid great attention to detail. Very comfortable bed, sufficient crockery and stuff in the kitchen and a beautiful welcome pack which included champagne (proper)! The view from the property was to die for especially from the breakfast/dining table when eating. There was even a drawer of essentials should one have forgotten toothpaste/razor etc.

I would recommend the kitchen should have tin foil, shrink wrap and a set of oven gloves. Apart from these minor requirements there is nothing amiss about this property.

We loved absolutely everything! The place is amazing! super cozy, made me and my wife feel like we were at home. Extremely clean, complete kitchen, amazing shower! The communication with Christie was fantastic. We will definitely stay there again when we are back in Skye!

Well equipped, warm and comfortable. The welcome pack was generous and basic provisions were in place, including home laid eggs. Dressing gowns and slippers were much appreciated as we had to spend more time indoors than planned due to some very wet weather.

Excellent place to stay in Skye

From the minute we booked the Riverside Cottage, we were contacted by the owner Christie re our booking and arrangements for our arrival. Christie and his wife were accommodating and looked after us from when we arrived. The property is beautiful and Christie made us feel at home whilst stocking up on freshly laid eggs, milk, biscuits and even a bottle of Prosecco as a welcome. It was immaculate and Christie had left out loads of wee extras/essentials for us incase we forgot anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverside Cottage and will defo be back again to explore the Isle of Skye and will be going back to the same property. My wife wanted to take their shower home with us lol, great fixtures and fittings and very cosy. Five star rating at a three star cost!!!
