Hébergement spacieux, moderne, très bien équipé. Vue à couper le souffle. Petites attentions à notre arrivée (bouteille de vin, chocolats, biscuits, chips, thés, cafés en capsules et en poudre, lait), très appréciées. Pas d'accueil direct (boîte à clés) mais l'hébergeur est disponible par WhatsApp (très réactif). Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement.

Liked it all. I would urge owner to consider adding an EV charger. EV charging in portree is hopeless. Slow expensive unreliable. Not the owner’s prob. But the addition of EVcharger would be a huge plus for the many people driving electric cars.

We got to Portree after being on the road for a month in Ireland and the Argyle region of Scotland, before our final four days on Skye. By then it was the beginning of June, the start of the high season, and as you can imagine, Portree was absolutely crushed with tourists. Traffic was always congested, and restaurant reservations were a must, but just outside of town is the Heatherbank Cabin, overlooking a moor, with nothing to bother you other than the occasional sheep or cow. Sean and Fiona have created an extremely peaceful little retreat from the tourist madness, outfitted it with everything you need in a self-accomodation hideaway, and even threw in some delicious snacks (seaweed chips were unbelievable, don't miss them) and a bottle of wine to welcome us. The kitchenette/living room was separated from the bedroom by the bathroom/entryway, and two thick doors. So, I could make my morning coffee without waking my wife.....always a plus. The washer/dryer were both necessary and welcome after a month on the road, and the water pressure in the shower was absolutely life-changing after a month of mediocore hotel offerings. I'm not sure when we'll be visiting Scotland again, but I'm sure we will as we've only scratched the surface of Mull and Skye, two islands that are simply magnificent. Rest assured, when we return to Skye it'll be for more than four days, and we'll be staying at the Heatherbank Cabin.
