Hazel had arranged everything for us. It’s a beautiful spot and the apartment was neat and clean.

The apartment was clean and well arranged. Felt like we had privacy.

Location to Portree and Skye sites is great. Fully stocked kitchen and house as well.

Definitely need a car for this one. Bathroom on main floor and bedrooms upstairs, which are a bit narrow.

A great stay, very considerate host! Recommend 10/10!

My family and I had a great time at Hazel’s apartment. Through the weather wasn’t the best, all Hazel provided made this place like a home: Kitchen facilities also helped a lot to make a simple dinner and breakfast if you purchase vegetables, fruits, and breads; all rooms were tidy and cozy for a stay; toilet are clean with heater can dry your towel as well. The apartment has a place where you can park car free, very conviennent if you drive. Just a bit far to walk to the centre (maybe because of the storm during my stay) I also would like to thank Hazel for finding my lost AirPods and helped to post to my next travel destination!

Charming apartment with lots of conveniences that is a short walk to Portree

This is a very functional and conveniently located apartment. The apartment is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Despite being an easy walk into Portree, the apartment is quiet and very comfortable. There is a nice outdoor eating area and the host provides a basket of goodies including tea, coffee and cookies as a welcome gift. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience and would highly recommend to other travelers. The only thing that was missing for me was a hair dryer.

Not perfect, but lots of positives

This was our second visit to the Isle of Skye, and since we stayed near Dunvegan the first time I wanted to stay in Portree. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the Portree harbor. It's also just a couple minutes drive from the big Co-op grocery, making the location ideal. There are three apartments here, and there is room for three cars (if the other guests would park appropriately!) I was in apartment 3. The bedrooms were upstairs and were very comfortable. The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed (but no paper towels for some reason). The place was very clean and there was plenty of room for 4 people to relax. There's also a separate washer and dryer (you don't see that often in Europe!). The price was very good when you compare it to other apartments on Skye.

The location of the bathroom isn't ideal. The bathroom is located in the mudroom/foyer entry area, but it was spacious. However, there's an odor in there that won't go away. It's a combination of moth balls/petroleum and I believe it comes from the stained wood beam they used as a shelf in the bathroom. The smell is strong enough that it permeates the whole floor for those with sensitive noses. Also, the mount for the shower head was broken, so it was only usable as a hand-held (should be replaced). This is one of those places that my rating would fluctuate based on the price paid - it would be a great find if you can get a below market price.

Quiet, beautiful stay in a great location.

Beautifully decorated and furnished apartment. Very quiet, tucked back off the road, but still within walking distance to town along a nice road with sidewalks. The bathtub is huge, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. Isle of Skye is beautiful and worth the trip out!

The bedrooms are upstairs from the bathroom, but a minor detail given the how nice the place and location are.

Modern, quality apartment in a handy location with great parking

Great location for walking into centre of Portree in 5-7 minutes. Really clear instructions on getting there. Excellent parking. Quiet location. Comfortable and good quality furnishings. Done out to a high standard. Great really solid doors and dining table.

General comment but I'm afraid to say the price of accommodation in general in Skye has become very expensive since my last stay relative to the other islands I have visited. And restaurants were all booked out 3 days in advance. The "welcome" book didn't work as such - found on the last night, hidden behind a food basket. Duplicated and very little information, didn't look loved. We'd worked out most things ourselves by then anyway!

Beautiful Place in Portree, Isle of Skye

Very nice place and great that it was stocked with tea and coffee. Much appreciated. Spacious parking. Quick and easy access. Place was nice and clean which is always key! Location was good, with a nice short walk to downtown Portree (8-10min). Seemed like a nice neighbourhood. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

All minor. Bedrooms were a bit warm, even though it was May, there was a bit of a "heat wave" by their standards in Scotland. Could open window but no screen so a bit worried about bugs but did not seem to get any with the window open a bit. Had to use a sliding lock to close bathroom door, which meant it was locked instead of just closed which is a slight safety concern, but worked fine for us. There were a couple of older places in Scotland that were similar though, so not unusual. Shower was a bid oddly set up making it a bit difficult not to splash floor.

Lovely Property and Close to Town

The property was lovely, and clean and had everything we needed for our 2 day stay! We liked that it was a short walk to town making it a great location! Our host even left a nice basket for all our morning needs. The only suggestion is leaving more towels for guests. (We did request some but for some reason they didn't come) We would HIGHLY recommend staying here and would rebook if ever back!!!

Well equipped responsive host no issues with parking 800m from town centre and many eateries; town centre is down hill 🥴 quiet neighbourhood next to nursing home Co-op Woodlands Road is nearby for groceries, 10-15 min walk or 3 min by car, lots of power points upstairs

bedrooms are up one flight of stairs so this property may not be for you if you are unable to climb beds too soft and sagging in the middle for all of us (1 double bed and 2 singles) both sofas are soft and sagging dining chairs are soft and sagging more tea towels, dish clothes would be good some bath towels were frayed

A perfectly good holiday home but nothing special.

Handy for Portree centre, good parking. Reasonably good facilities. Quiet and good fitting blinds made for good nights sleep.

In need of some maintenance. Shower hose leaking, no lock on bathroom/toilet door and a few other minor issues which could be easily rectified.

Clean, comfortable property - the perfect size for a small family

The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The host kindly left us some wine and supplies (milk etc) which was much appreciated. Location was great - less than a 10min walk down to the town centre and harbour. Check in with key safe was convenient and easy.

A few coat hooks in the hall would have been good. We were visiting for a wedding and would have appreciated a full length mirror. WiFi code wasn’t obvious but we found it eventually. Very minor complaints though - we were generally really impressed.

There was some communication problem with the cleaning service which caused our aparment was not cleaned at arrival. They quickly responded and did the bed and bathroom in the same evening, then cleaned the whole aparment in the next morning.

Very restful, healing and great location from very responsive hosts and managers.

Hazel is an amazing host of Home Farm Apartments. Joe and Sarah are also terrific apartment managers. All were very responsive to any issues or questions, dealing with things immediately. The apartment location is great, because it is just up the hill from downtown, so you can avoid late night partying. It sits next to a Care Home, so you know it is quiet. I had a very restful time. The washer/dryer worked very well.

I would suggest getting a coffee maker (machine) for the apartment, like Tassimo or Nespresso pod coffee machines. For a dedicated coffee drinker, cafetieres just don't make the grade.

Worked well for what we needed

Very well appointed - had everything we needed - comfortable- good beds and nice linen. Good for a stay of more than one night - could get washing done. Very close to centre - easy walk.

Could have had more crockery and cutlery - literally only 4 of everything meant we had to wash each time we needed something. No amenities in bathroom (body wash etc) - no dish drying cloths in kitchen. Key box broken so checkin was tricky but Hazel did apologise and compensated us. Poor mobile comms until you’re on the WiFi

clean, handy to town, modern and updated with nice fittings, plenty of appliances, hot water was good, good to have parking off the street, Hazel was responsive to our enquiries and this was appreciated,

poor lighting, little natural light, lacking in decent size cereal bowls and cld do with more cutlery, bathtub was yellow, no instructions for wifi or how to use tv so spent a lot of time to figure it out and shldnt have too when some instructions wld have helped quicker. lots of connection issues with wifi/tv (kept saying weak signal), no throw blankets (got cold a lot), no top sheet on bed, tried to sleep in couldn’t due to chain saw going off for about 30mns, wifi instructions need to be more obvious (small/tiny sticker on greetings board - wld not know to look there as most places put these in obvious places). throw pillows and bed runners are scratchy and unpleasant to use. couches/sofas were awful as no support and you keep sliding out of sofa coz of the material -not to mention the sofas were cold/freezing. heating was disappointing as quickly found out the auto setting seemed to be set for only 1hr after we arrived (we arrived 7:30pm-8pm) and from then the apartment was cold and again in the morning cold, and cold again when we got home later that night so set it manually. coffee plunger was broken and so could not use coffee grounds at all. lastly cleaning, I was extremely disappointed that we had to clean as much as we were expected too on our holiday, it felt like we were reducing the cost of the cleaner so they didn’t have to clean for as long (less cleaning time) and especially considering the price of this accommodation per night I felt this shld have been included. we spent a lot of our time cleaning, so was not happy. happy to leave it clean and tidy but extra requests were we felt was in excess.
