Portree gem!

We loved everything about our four night stay at the Blue House. The location was perfect- very central and right on the waterfront with lovely views. The house was very spacious and very tastefully decorated. It had absolutely everything you needed including lots of all the basics in the kitchen (tea, coffee, sugar, spices, salt, pepper, oils and vinegars). The welcome food and drink basket was a lovely touch. Our host Jamie was exceptional - always available and very helpful. We rarely rate properties a 10 but this place definitely deserves it 🤗

Amazing and worth the money

Amazing location, lots of space and very clean! Such a cozy and amazing place to stay. Very close to lots of places to eat (which I would book significantly in advance). Very easy and clean instructions on checking and out. The beds are super comfy and the showers are great as well

It can get a little cold but they provide a few space heaters which are easy to use!

Ideal location

The location is the best you could ask for in Portree—walking distance to everything in town and yet just around the corner, so the house was very quiet. We used to live in Portree, and this area is a great base for exploring Skye. The kitchen area and living room were spacious, great for eating and relaxing in the evenings, and the kitchen had a heated floor!

Perfect

Beautiful bay side house with large rooms and comfortable beds. The kindly owner left some local snacks and beers on the dining table and they also have a full equipped kitchen. The washing machine is in the bathroom but you can only use towel rails to dry, so do not wash to many clothes in one time.

Fabulous. Great facilities all around and we didn't want for anything. Heaps of the things you need for self catering.

A few instructions on how to use the different appliances would have been helpful, but we did manage. Consider putting in modern double or triple glazing in the front windows. The traffic and people noise is terrible.

With sea views, top quality, and a homely feeling.

This was the most satisfying stay of our trip to Scotland. Accommodation on the Isle of Skye is in very high demand and generally quite expensive, so we felt very fortunate to have found this wonderful B&B at such a reasonable price. The house is in an excellent location right in the town center, with parking available at the doorstep, making it incredibly convenient to go anywhere. Even better, both bedrooms offer direct views of the beautiful bay. The interior is tastefully decorated, and the thoughtful details everywhere show the host’s care and consideration for guests’ needs. Everything you might need is provided, and the kitchen utensils and cookware are beautifully designed. In the morning, you can enjoy a breakfast in the dining room, and in the evening, relax with tea in the spacious living room. It truly feels like home—comfortable and relaxing. We are very grateful to the host for such care and attention.

Tremendous value! Excellent accommodations for the price! Comfortable and lots of space. Beautiful view 😍❗️The owner was kind, helpful and easy to reach if we had any questions, problems or restaurant recommendations .

We had an issue with parking but the owner fixed it right away.
