Nice base for Isle of Skye visit

It was very comfortable and convenient for our extended family of 9. Kitchen well equipped and nice dining area.

There was a shortage of utensils for eating - not enough forks and spoons for 9 people

Good space, great location, very friendly and helpful host. We had an issue at the start of the stay but was quickly resolved by the host.

The cutlery in the kitchen is a little worn out, making it difficult to cook.

An excellent location in Portree, spacious house with dedicated parking and wonderful hosts.

Kevin and Michelle were very easy to communicate with and they were also very prompt. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear and crisp. Finding the place was easy because we had Google Maps. It is located in a quiet location, but very near central Portree (walkable from most shops and restaurants). The house has a dedicated parking spot; we had a large 9-seater van and it was very easy to park this van in the available space. We stayed here for 4 nights and were able to do the various excellent hikes and drives on the Isle of Skye. The apartment is quite spacious with 3 floors total and is ideal for large families staying for extended duration. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils (but perhaps missing a few essential ingredients like cooking oil), a refrigerator and a washer + dryer. These are very useful. The apartment also has a conservatory with a large dining table that is best for dining with kids. All the rooms have good heating and they warm up quickly. There is a small backyard that is wonderful for kids to spend their energy. In summary an excellent place to stay in Portree if traveling with large groups for extended period of time.

There is very little to dislike here. However, the apartment being old and carpeted tends to absorb all the cooking smells through the ages and releases them to whoever lives there. The kitchen exhaust is perhaps a bit weak and so one needs to open the kitchen window when cooking. However, these are minor inconveniences and overall our stay was excellent.

Great location and accommodations

The heat wasn’t working properly in the 2 3rd floor bedrooms most likely needed bled. So it was cold first night . The weather warmed up the next so didn’t need it anyway. Other than that it was great we enjoyed our stay there .

Easy walk to Portree for healthy adults. Great kitchen made self catering easy. Bathroom configuration worked well for a group of friends.

The double bed mattresses up on the third floor were a bit uncomfortable for adults, kids would be fine. Recommend getting new mattresses.

Plenty of space for our adult family of 5, nice sunroom and garden, and a beautiful view from one of the upstairs bedrooms! The dryer was also a perk

Great self catering in portree

The house is well located, has a lovely view , contains everything we could need and more, clean, spacy. We were 5 adults, could have easily added two more and it would be big enough.

Mattresses on beds on top floor need replacing I would strongly suggest that you find a more attractive name for the property. We almost didn't book it because it sounded so unpromising.

Very nice host and the facilities provided very indeed very good. The hosts have paid a lot of attention to details like providing bread, milk, shower utilities etc which was very nice and I am truly thankful!

The mattress on the bed were either wobbly or too stiff. This is one thing traveller’s look forward too during vacation stay. Improving this will make this stay perfect! Also the first room sofas need maintenance and servicing.

Lovely short stay

Property was just as described, easy check in and spotlessly clean, good instructions/house rules. We only stayed 2 nights but would have been comfortable for longer. Easy walk down to the town for shops and restaurants. Probably not a great property for those with limited mobility.

Ideal self-catering base for leisure activities in the vicinity. Excellent kitchen facilities. TVs in lounge and all bedrooms.

Only very slight niggle was that the advertised DVD player was in fact a combined TV/DVD in one of the bedrooms, and its DVD drive was so noisy when running that it interfered with the sound on the DVDs themselves! Fortunately there was plenty of live TV/radio choice available instead.

Plenty of space for family. Extremely thoughtful staff - welcome pack and late check out for our son who needed internet access for uni call.

Hacía muchísimo frío, no había mantas extra ni nórdicos ni estufas. La calefacción no era suficiente. Mi hijo enfermó y nos fuimos al día siguiente para poder dormir mejor en otro lugar. Le pedimos que nos ayudara y trajo mantas muy finas y nos dijo que ya hacía calor en la vivienda.
