Such a lovely and cosy house where we had wonderful family time. The host is so generous with many food free. The house has everything we need. It is located quite close to the city.

It was very comfortable and convenient for our extended family of 9. Kitchen well equipped and nice dining area.
There was a shortage of utensils for eating - not enough forks and spoons for 9 people

Good space, great location, very friendly and helpful host. We had an issue at the start of the stay but was quickly resolved by the host.
The cutlery in the kitchen is a little worn out, making it difficult to cook.

Kevin and Michelle were very easy to communicate with and they were also very prompt. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear and crisp. Finding the place was easy because we had Google Maps. It is located in a quiet location, but very near central Portree (walkable from most shops and restaurants). The house has a dedicated parking spot; we had a large 9-seater van and it was very easy to park this van in the available space. We stayed here for 4 nights and were able to do the various excellent hikes and drives on the Isle of Skye.
The apartment is quite spacious with 3 floors total and is ideal for large families staying for extended duration. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils (but perhaps missing a few essential ingredients like cooking oil), a refrigerator and a washer + dryer. These are very useful. The apartment also has a conservatory with a large dining table that is best for dining with kids. All the rooms have good heating and they warm up quickly. There is a small backyard that is wonderful for kids to spend their energy. In summary an excellent place to stay in Portree if traveling with large groups for extended period of time.
There is very little to dislike here. However, the apartment being old and carpeted tends to absorb all the cooking smells through the ages and releases them to whoever lives there. The kitchen exhaust is perhaps a bit weak and so one needs to open the kitchen window when cooking. However, these are minor inconveniences and overall our stay was excellent.
