Nothing, all was perfect. Just note that the pods are on a hill so you have to walk uphill from Portree (no problem for us). There was a little bit of mould on the curtain.

A perfect base to explore from

Perfect place to stay, host was delightful, the pods were warm and comfy, parking was easy, and you're supporting a brilliant community radio station by staying. Just be aware that the pods are at the top of a short hill, in case you have any mobility issues. Makes for good views though!

I enjoyed the stay

Location just outside the town, first time staying in a pod it was good. Cracker view to cooling mountains. Ideal to do your own thing ,Either see the town or the North of thee island on which idid. Emeanities not so far.i would gladly stay there again. Thank you radioSkye.

Suzy, Adam and Robert, were absolutely helpful and very welcoming. They answered all questions, helped to get oriented and all made my stay like home. The Pods are very nice, clean and very convenient. Walking distance from downtown. I took walk every evening to downtown after being all of the places on Sky. There is shortcut that Adam showed me. Every morning and evening I was listening Radio Sky. The location is perfect. You can easily access whole Isle of Sky. It is a lovable place. Planning to come back to Sky and definetely will stay there again!

Exceptional.

Loved the whole ethos of Radio Skye as a community venture. The pod was very well equipped for self catering, immaculately clean, comfortable, and a short stroll into the centre of town. There were practical facilities, thoughtful of space, such as a maiden and folding wooden table and chairs that could be used inside or outside. We enjoyed listening to Radio Skye on the radio provided. Thank you for the welcome coffee, milk and fudge.

A peaceful and charming escape in the heart of Skye

We had a wonderful time in this cosy little pod, tucked away in nature yet just a short drive from Portree. The accommodation was warm, well-designed, and very comfortable, with lovely views of the surrounding landscape. A big shout-out to our host Suzy, who was kind, welcoming, and full of good vibes. We especially loved discovering that the pod is located at a local radio station — such a cool and unexpected detail that made our stay feel truly unique! Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, comfort, and a touch of originality.

Great little extras were given like pens, key chains, oatmeal, coffee with milk, etc. There was also peace and quiet in our private little pod!

LOVE the pods!

We received a warm welcome on arrival, with a special message on a board in front of our room. The host took his time to show us all the features of the pod and make some (always appreciated) conversation. He was also adamant that we should call or text in case of any problem, which we didn't have. The pod is super cozy, well thought out and just a fabulous little home in Portree. It's conveniently located so that you have private parking but you're also walking distance to the harbour. It provides a perfect level of privacy and comfort, with everything you need to make yourself some breakfast or a quick snack. Bathroom has excellent storage for personal items and the shower fantastic water pressure. There is a heater provided (which works super fast at warming up the pod) should you need it, especially during the night when it can get chilly. We love having our own little home and being independent compared to staying in a hotel, so the pod definitely delivered on that. Incredible value for money on top of everything, especially for the Isle of Skye. Will book again if (or rather when!) we return.

Some crumbs in a kitchen drawer were perhaps overlooked, but the rest of the pod was spotless.

A great base for your Isle of Skye adventure

We enjoyed a completely fabulous few days in stunning Skye - definitely didn't want to leave. The Radio Skye pods are brilliantly located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Portree where there are some excellent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Or they're not far from the local food stores if you'd rather self cater. They are easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Our pod had a gorgeous view towards the Cuillin mountains which was a real treat to wake up to. The pods are a great base to explore all the wonders of Skye - we were completely blown away by the Storr, Quiraing, Cuillins etc etc etc which are all an easy drive away. Our pod was really cosy and comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including a lovely shower, fridge and cooking facilities. Suzy and the team at Radio Skye are so friendly and helpful and how amazing to stay right next to a real live radio station - a great listen too. Fab tunes, chat, local news and info! Just an all round incredible experience and we will definitely be planning a return visit asap.

The pods were really central and only a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of Portree! It was very cosy and perfect for a getaway. We had two dogs and there was enough room for them both to enjoy as well. The staff were lovely and warned us about the roads as we were travelling the island in the snow. The views from the cabin were great.

La ubicación está bastante bien, tiene casi todo lo necesario. Parking al lado de la caseta. Al llegar no sabíamos cómo hacer el checkin ya que no hay un sitio como tal, hablamos con el responsable y nos dijo que había dejado las llaves y el nombre apuntado en la “caseta”.

Me pensaba que tendría mejores vistas, son dos “casetas” en un trozo de terreno sin vistas ni nada especial. No hay televisión.
