We liked it all. Shone was an incredible host and communication with her was fantastic. It was incredibly comfortable and homey. Shone had the kitchen stocked with all kinds of goodies for us. It was amazing. Great parking and really detailed instructions. We wanted to stay longer and hope to return soon!!

A very comfortable place to rest after a long day of exploring!

Extremely cosy! Very well stocked with treats and goodies which was a lovely bonus. Shower was fantastic, bed was very comfortable. Area is really handy so close to town and felt very safe and quiet.

The heating was a little unusual (couldn’t turn it down, only up?) but it wasn’t a big deal at all!

The Best Accommodation in the Isle of Skye!

Miss Shona is a very meticulous and kind homeowner, and we had a wonderful time at Burnbrae Apartment. The day we arrived there was when we almost gave up sightseeing due to Storm Amy; we were exhausted and disappointed, but seeing the accommodation suddenly made us feel much better. Everything was just perfect, and seeing various food in fridge and table made me feel sorry for no reason. We could get a good rest and set off for Quiraing trekking the next morning. It was my favorite accommodation during my 8 days in Scotland. If there's another chance to visit Isle of Skye, I would definitely stay longer only at Burnbrae Apartment.

A Superb B & B

Probably the best B & B we have ever been to. We had a very warm welcome. The furniture and fittings were immaculate. The food provided for breakfast was amazing. We very highly recommend it.

The access road is currently full of potholes but shortly to be repaired, we understand!

Magic spot away from the busy square

Fantastic host and excellent location. Was blown away by the supplies left for our breakfast and snacks. The shower was the best we’ve had on our trip around Scotland. Host provided great advice on restaurants and things to see around isle of Skye.

Wonderful stay in Portree!

So cute, clean and comfortable! Shona has thought of everything in the design of her place. Every need for a visit to Skye is covered. It is a very quiet location while being a short, easy walk of less than five minutes to town center Portree and all its restaurants and shops. Shona provided us with an amazing and unexpected larder, so thoughtful! All breakfast wishes covered, and then some! She met us upon arrival and checked on us through our stay…Storm Floris hit while we were in Portree and she made sure we were okay. More than okay, we spent that day restfully enjoying her safe apartment and riding out the weather. Burnbrae is the perfect spot to stay for a visit to beautiful Skye!

Totally AWESOME!

Shona was exceptionally warm and welcoming upon our arrival, meeting us outside the property and immediately making us feel as if we were old friends. The food provided was amazing as well ... it were able to eat a substantial breakfast two mornings and one evening dinner with plenty to spare! My son, who traveled with me, commented that this was his favorite place 'EVER' (and we travel a lot)! The room was very updated, cozy, comfortable, and very CLEAN! We couldn't have asked for a better stay and I hate to admit that it's probably even 'underpriced' for the value we received!

Kiwi Steve in Portree.

This is a near new, nicely finished room with a modern fit out. The interior finishing has been done to a high standard and everything worked well. It was clean and comfortable and our host provided a very generous breakfast option that was like an expanded continental offering, with every option provided (noting a cooked breakfast was not an option). Our host Shona was meticulous in her attention to detail and very focused on ensuring our every need was catered for. This is a great place to stay for sure and we would go back again without hesitation.

We stayed during school summer holidays when demand is high and room rates rise accordingly. That's a supply and demand equation for which there is no easy answer, except accepting you will pay more!

Great apartment for 2 people, 5 minutes walk through a park to the centre of Portree, nice quiet location. One of the friendliest hosts we ever came across, super clean and very comfortable apartment, would definitely book again! Kitchenette is amazingly stocked, so don’t go to the supermarket before check-in!

One of the best places I've ever stayed at

I absolutely recommend staying there! It really was one of the best places I've ever stayed at if not even the best especially for the price. When we arrived we were greeted by the lovely host who showed us around the apartment. She was very friendly and it was lovely to have a little chat with her before she left us to ourselves in that absolutely beautiful apartment. The apartment was very modern and perfectly clean. In addition to that it was really nicely furnished which made us feel really comfortable. But the thing we loved most was the huge variety of food provided for breakfast and the filled fridge so that we didn't have to buy any other food for the duration of our stay at all. It was just perfect overall!

Cute Apartment on Skye Great Location

The Burnbrae Apartment on the Isle of Skye was just delightful! Shona has simply thought of everything a guest might need during a stay. The bed is comfy. The shower: terrific. The kitchen filled with so many goodies for breakfast and snacking. Plus free parking in Portree which is necessary. And a neat short cut walking path that takes you into town in 10 minutes. Shona even supplies you with maps and gives you ideas for places to eat. We could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you Shona!

Shonas apartment is in the perfect location for exploring Skye. It was spotless and modern and had everything you needed for a few nights. The attention to detail was exceptional. This is the most kind and thoughtful landlord I’ve ever met. Fridge and table are full of all kinds of food, not gonna hungry at all. It’s very convenient to the travelers in Portree when the market closed at 22:00. The apartment has everything you need. You can stay in the house for couple days no need to go out! Absolutely outstanding, comfortable, very clean, designed and delicate room. The water and the heat are very good. The landlord is truly hospitality and friendly to us. Thank you for your help:)

Sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Schönes, mordernes und ansprechendes Zimmer und Bad. Alles im Überfluss vorhanden für ein ausgiebiges Frühstück. Und die bereitgestellten Biere konnte ich gar nicht probieren, weil wir vorher schon den ebenfalls vorhandenen Wein getrunken hatten. In 10 Minuten ist nan in der Stadt, wo es viele Restaurants hatte

Der Preis ist schon hoch. Wenn nan aber mit anderen Unterkünften vergleicht, ist es wohl das Skye Niveau halt...

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in der tollen Stadt Portree

Super moderne Ausstattung. Prall gefüllter Kühlschrank für das Frühstück, klasse. Sehr nette Gastgeberin mit dem klasse Tip für das Abendessen im Isle of Skye Visitor Center. Sehr empfehlenswert. Hinweis: Vom Apartment gibt es einen schmalen Fußweg am Sportplatz vorbei, so kommt man sehr schnell und fast ohne Hügel in das Zentrum von Portree.

Bei der Anfahrt muss man gut auf die Schlaglöcher aufpassen.
