Wonderful!

The perfect Isle of Skye stay

Carol was such a lovely host and really looked after us. Very comfortable stay, lovely breakfast, and we even joined in the Hogmanay ceilidh at the community centre around the corner!

Perfect landing pad in Portree

Perfect landing pad for our first trip to the Isle of Skye. Normally we struggle with horrible jet lag but Adaliene's Retreat was so cozy and comfy that we slept well even our first night. There were lovely extra touches like bathrobes and slippers, delicious breakfast treats and coffees and bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed and a small oscillating fan (my personal fave). Carol was so attentive and forwarned us about Storm Bram that blew into Portree on our 2nd night. Her advice helped us arrange our day so we could get back to the apartment before the worst of the winds came. Would 100% stay here again!

Great apartment, nightmare door!

Great parking, shower, heating, kitchen equipment, location, Wi-Fi, cleanliness, thoughtful touches everywhere, coffee machine, double bed, pretty much everything inside!

I had constant problems opening and closing the front door. I was lucky that one of the owners was available to get me in on arrival. Access to the key was easy, using it demanded a 'knack' as noted in a message from the other owner. On three occasions I had to leave the door unlocked, it was just impossible to lock it. I have never encountered this issue before, and it's a simple and cheap fix to replace the faulty barrel. So very frustrating as this apartment would have been one of the best I've stayed in.

Spacious, great location and well equipped.

This property has everything you need. The host has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It was a short stroll into town. The bed was comfy and the apartment was very spacious. Even fresh fruit and other food in the cupboards & fridge which was lovely.

The flat was ideally based to explore Portree and the wider area of Skye

So nice that there were some food supplies in the fridge to keep us going. Kitchen area had everything that we needed. The flat was completely quiet at night and it was also within a few minutes walk of the town.

Although there was a small folding dining table; it was difficult to set this up to sit at.

Amazing, would absolutely recommend

The apartment is warm and cozy, not even a 5 minute walk from Portree’s city centre! Everything is new and super clean. The host supplied us with everything we could need, from bathrobes and slippers to snacks. Absolutely would recommend, one of the best accommodations I’ve had!!

Perfect Stay for Skye

Fantastic place to stay a very short walk from the middle of Portree and the bus station. It's a really quiet place, you can hear footsteps from the shop above but it's only during business hours. I was outside most of the time so it's not really an issue. The place is stocked up wonderfully, I planned on hiking a lot and it was great having a lot of breakfast options already in the fridge. The place generally is super comfortable and well maintained.

Just the perfect spot!

We were met by our host Carol, who was lovely, very welcoming and took us to our accomodation under their shop. Our car was parked right in front of the front door. Very cute unit. Basically 3 rooms, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/lounge. Everything we needed. Well appointed. Only a couple of minutes stroll to the centre of town. Highly recommend this lovely spot 👌🏻

Queen bed would’ve been fab, but not a big issue. Place was so close to perfect, it didn’t matter.

Lovely , quiet apartment in central location

A lovely apartment, close to the centre of town , yet in a really quiet location . The host gave us guidance on what was happening in Portree while we were there and gave us some breakfast items. We could park our car right next to the apartment.

A minor point but check-in time on the booking said 3pm yet the message from the owner said 4pm.

This was a fantastic place to stay!

It was a nice quiet spot with parking right at the door. The unit was so clean and comfortable, we felt at home as soon as we walked in. The breakfast supplies were a welcome surprise. We were able to walk around Portree easily. This was our favourite place on our travels in Scotland.

A wonderful apartment with everything you will need and more. Self check in was easy and quick. The host, Carol, is super friendly and accommodating. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items and there was fresh fruit in a bowl. I hope we could stay again one day….

Very nice property in central area of Portree, very well appointed and very comfortable. Easy communication with the host and liked the nice touch of the guest information folder featuring the story of Adaliene too. Thought the breakfast items were v generous and a nice touch

The best place ever!

The best apartment we have ever stayed in! Beautiful, spectacular decoration. Equipped with everything we need. Very comfortable and has a full kitchen. The owners thought of every detail which made our stay very special. Had bathrobe, slipper, travel toiletry kit. The heating works very well. The bed is very comfortable. But the most special of all was the host's attention to us, there is a coffee maker with many types of coffees and chocolate. Many teas of different flavors. Cookies. Food in the fridge for breakfast - milk, cornflakes, jam, pancakes and cheese. There were also very tasty apples. The location is perfect, you can get to know the whole city on foot and there is free parking. The host also offered us early check in. Fantastic! Thank you to the hosts!

Adaliene's retreat is a magic place and if its available a must stay while in Isle of Skye

This place was incredible. My wife and I were blown away by the small details and comfiness of this little spot. It kinda felt like our own home. It's also in a phenomenal location and is a short drive away from most of the desirable attractions in Isle of Skye. We also ran into the owner randomly and she was lovely. If we ever go back we are booking this place for sure.

Everything about this place was perfect and we are already talking about coming back. The breakfast was amazing and the stay was well kitted out with everything we needed and more. Self check in was really handy too as we had an early start to get more hikes in.

Excellent place. a really comfortable and spacious apartment, with obvious and great care taken (in spite of the absence of the host - it's hard to give a good ranking for hosts when you don't meet them - MAYBE booking should have a n/a option for this part of the survey).

It'a a really little thing, but a few of us come from parts of the world where heaters are small devices you pull out of a cupboard for one month of the year. So instructions on general heaters might be nice!

Quiet, clean, comfortable . Safe area, close to town center, perfect for our Rabbies Skye tour. Requested dinner reservations were great. Amenities like bathrobes, great shower and breakfast foods. Really couldn't have asked for more. There is a beautiful out door seating area the weather didn't let us enjoy. Absolutely recommend
