Jan is an excellent host of this awesome property. I highly recommend and hope to return one day.

This property is in a safe quiet location with only a very short walk to the town center. A huge storm blew through the highlands while we were there but we were snuggly inside this home and slept right through it. The owner even provided us with supplies (food and candles) in case we were to be stranded there without power for a while, which didn’t happen but she prepared us. So nice!!

I don’t have anything bad to say about this property. At all.

Location was excellent, just a short walk from Portree town. Host was wonderful and available to answer any questions or provide assistance. The place was immaculately clean and very cozy.

Superb stay in Portree

Absolutely fantastic stay in Janet's lovely apartment in Portree. The location is great and is within walking distance to Portree main town. It is a great base for further exploration of isle of Skye. Janet is kind and sweet and the breakfast prepared was an added bonus!

Only complaint was the shower, the water pressure was abysmal and it is extremely difficult to get the right temperature, either too hot or cold with minor adjustments

What an amazing place to stay. The place was exceptional and the hosts could not have been more accommodating. An easy 10min walk to the village centre would recommend to anyone and would stay here again if we made it back to Portree.

Great location bit lacking in amenities

Location. walking distance to main town and Bars Welcome basket of breakfast treats. Communication with owners

Shower!!!!! The shower went from scorching hot to freezing cold. the water pressure was barely enough to wash the soap off. Nothing to cook on. A microwave but no microwave bowls to heat up baked beans or anything in. Ridiculous rule of not bringing takeaway back to the house. if you cant cook a meal then takeaway is usually what you want next. the Kitchen/dining/lounge room is all in one and only just big enough for 4 adults to sit in This place has 2 bedrooms but really only big enough for 2 adults.

This is a nice quiet location with a wonderful hostess.

This is such a comfortable place to stay with friends. It is spotless, too. Janet was always so responsive whenever I sent questions prior to our arrival. She had instant coffee, tea, cereals, fruit, bars, bread, milk, jams, etc. there to make sure we had something we could eat for breakfast. It’s maybe a 10- minute walk to Portree, and we used taxis, too. When we left, Janet sent us off with a delicious bag of caramel fudge that was to die for!

A comfortable place - perfect for exploring the Isle of Skye

Great location, really lovely decor, nice welcoming touches and lovely hosting from Janet. Perfect spot to enjoy a nice stay and explore the Isle of Skye from. Lots of restaurants in Portree which is in walking distance. Thanks for a great stay.

One of the wardrobe sliding doors was broken and couldn't use the iron as it didn't have a cap on the water tank (great excuse not to do the ironing though :))

Lovely stay in Portree

The door stood open when we arrived and as soon as we entered we were welcomed by the host. She was very friendly and showed us around the house. The house was very clean, had nice and comfortable beds and a nice warm shower. The location was very good, all the restaurants and shops were on very short walking distance.

Lo que más nos gustó fue la atención de Janet, la anfitriona, siempre presente cuando la necesitabas, y muy detallista. La casa, muy bien situada en Portree, la capital de Skye, a unos minutos andando del centro y del puerto. La casa reúne todo tipo de comodidades, cocina, salón, dos habitaciones con cama doble. Además Janet puso a nuestra disposición todo tipo de información acerca de lugares a visitar, restaurantes y demás. Es un alojamiento para varios días que recomendaría sin dudar. Gracias Janet!! :-)

Prima verblijf om 2 dagen te verblijven

Je had lekker veel ruimte voor jezelf. We hadden (denk ik) de helft van een bungalow. De eigenaars wonen zelf aan de achterkant van de woning. We hadden 2 slaapkamers, een ruime badkamer en een woonkamer met keukentje. In het keukentje lag zelfs een kookplaatje, dus je kon evt iets koken. De eigenaresse regelt zelf al een mandje met fruit en kelloggs (incl melk en enkele andere drankjes). De douche had een gebruiksaanwijzing, maar als je die volgende, werkte het prima.

Je zit op een "eiland" waar op zich het een en ander te bezichtigen is, maar toch zit je overal "best ver vandaan". Uiteindelijk heb je in 1 dag het hele eiland gezien/rondgereden.
