    The property was exceptionally clean and the attention to detail was incredible. The decor and furnishings were very high quality which made it very homely. Very comfortable. Stunning views from the window. Great location- just a 15 minute walk into Portree.

    Homely, Comfortable, Perfect
    We absolutely loved our stay at the Walk Up. The place was a home-away-from-home. Always nice and warm- even when it was snowing outside! Wifi was great, I was able to work remotely. About a 15 minute walk from Portree village but was absolutely fine. Richard was great at communicating, we were very sad to leave.

    Wonderful hosts. I won't go into detail as to not advertise the service we got as an exception. We had a minor hiccup that would have interfered with our plans and Richard went out of his way to help save the day. We can't think of anything that we missed in the apartment and the bed was super comfy.

    Clean, spacious, tasteful apartment in residential Portree
    Truly a home away from home. Very clean and well appointed apartment in the top floor of the home of a quiet yet helpful hosts. I loved looking around at the collection of small art pieces. The spaces showed an appreciation for simplicity and comfort. We would recommend The Walk Up to friends.
    It is a bit of a jaunt into town, and driving and parking in Portree during August is not easy with all of the tourists. Still, I would say the spacious comfort of the apartment outweighed the location.

    Highly recommend this cozy apartment!
    This is such a cute place, well-appointed and comfortable with everything you would need. We particularly appreciated the heater downstairs for quickly drying wet coats and boots, and the comfortable bed, blankets, and towels. There is great light and beautiful views of the Portree area through big windows. The location is excellent, with an easy walk into town for dinner or drinks. Richard was welcoming and helpful.
    No complaints! We would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Skye.

    Delightful, private apartment with wonderful skylights to watch the birds fly by and the clouds ever changing.
    Very well presented, spacious and private. Nicely fitted out with good quality amenities and good information regarding the area and attractions. The kitchen area was well equiped, so much so that we self catered and enjoyed a few evenings in. Loved the heated towel rails.
    Once we’d got the hang of the driveway and entrance to the road it was super, with excellent parking on site.

    Picture Perfect
    We loved everything about it. We were just bowled over with all the care and attention to detail that went into making the accommodation feel like home. The views from the loft windows are amazing. Great location, easy walk to Portree square. Clare and Richard could not have been nicer and went above and beyond to make our trip a success. Our stay was the highlight of our Scotland trip and we would definitely recommend it!

    Good location outside of town
    The host downstairs is kind, gracious and will help with whatever you need. Easy to find and good parking. The small kitchenette is well stocked and the living room has books on the local area. The shower was amazing, probably the best shower we had on our month long trip. Great location for sightseeing even though the weather wasn't cooperating. We still were able to see the dinosaur footprints! So cool!
    Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable. It was on the smaller side and also jiggled about whenever we moved. Not sure if it was because of the bedframe or the mattress. (We are both average size height/weight )But we didn't sleep much the two nights we were there.😢
