Location and view was amazing. Rooms were big and with amazing views. Bathrooms clean and big.
Nothing as such. Only thing that didn’t work was the oven.

The View. See Below for the remainder of my comments, we enjoyed very little about our stay.
The property was a very disappointing experience overall. The biggest issue was the beds, which were by far the most uncomfortable I have slept in. I did not sleep either night and ended up with a sore back for days afterward. For the amount of money spent, one would expect at least a reasonable level of comfort, but the bedding alone made the stay unpleasant. To make matters worse, a breaker tripped somewhere in the house and we were unable to reset it, leaving the refrigerator, toaster, and appliances unusable. Attempts to contact the host for help went unanswered.
There were also several misleading or impractical aspects of the property. While the listing did state that washers were available, it did not clarify that there was no dryer. Having two washers but no dryer made no sense, and it left us having to hand-dry clothes, something we did not anticipate when booking. Additionally, the showers were so small they were nearly unusable. At 5’9” and thin, I found it very uncomfortable to shower, especially with decent-size bathrooms.
The exterior and property conditions were equally disappointing. A storm had passed a few days prior, leaving trash and recyclables scattered around the yard. This debris was never cleaned up during our stay and blew around constantly, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. While the view from the home was one of its few redeeming features, the rest of the environment was not maintained to an acceptable standard.
Adding to the frustration, we learned only after arriving that we could have booked just three rooms and had the others shut down, which would have saved money. That information was not made clear leaving us feeling taken advantage of. In all my years of traveling, I rarely leave negative reviews maybe only once before, but this property warranted one. The lack of comfort, misleading details, poor communication, and poor value left me very disappointed. I wish I had not stayed here, or had some financial offset issues noted.

The location was lovely but more could be done to help visitors get to the correct place on the first try. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The location was remote yet not far from all that we wanted to see.
The key's were in the opposite box than was described but we were able to get to them. A dryer REALLY would be a good idea. We took advantage of your washers on our first day but, due to rainy, damp weather, we were packing up VERY damp clothes 3 days later. We had issues with the hot water availability.

Good location near Portree
Dirty in multiple places (floor and kitchen). Unsafe bathroom (bath not fixed to the floor) and a broken toilet seat. Oven was broken (host knew about it but did not warn us nor offered to make up for it). The host did not bother to visit the property, just offered excuses. The property is very tired, especially the ground floor and the back garden. When we got there we thought it must have been the wrong place.

We were very happy with our stay. We had a family of 5 on our visit. All adults, so it was nice to have a spot for us all to gather. It was a very nice place, clean, comfy beds and had everything stocked that we needed. And the view is amazing from the main room!! It is a very lovely place to stay, off the main roads but still very close to Portree and easy to access. Owners were prompt to answer any questions and easy to work with. Definitely recommend- We would stay here again if we get back to Skye.

Property was lovely. It was so peaceful to be in the country and the view from the dining/living room and some of the bedrooms was a country setting view.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Photos showed the inside of the property well.
The house needs basic maintenance inside and out. Weeding, bush trimming garbage pick up to mention a few. Outdoor seating would be beneficial. The house sign is not visible from

Rooms are fairly-sized. There is a nice dining/sitting room downstairs with working fireplace. It was cleaned and ready for our arrival. Kitchen is well-stocked in terms of tools and dish/silverware
if I need to find one negative thing - beds were too soft for us :-) But maybe that's the tastes of locals

The property had plenty of space for us - two families including two teenagers. Very comfortable, convenient location a short drive from Portree.
There is no clear sign for the property from the road, so arriving in the dark was a bit confusing.

Beautiful location and view. Sufficient beds/bedrooms for the number of people booked. The bathrooms were very nice.
We rented the entire home. It had previously been a B&B but is now only self-catering.
Super sparse! NOTHING extra. We had to purchase toilet tissue as there was one roll per bathroom for 3 day stay. ONE bath towel per person and ONE hand towel per bathroom. Some had soap/shampoo and others did not so we redistributed. There’s 2 washers but no dryer. All the bins for the refrigerator door are broken off.
The dining table is in the living room and there’s 2 areas closed off with no access. I gave opportunity for her to provide access if there were supplies in it but she did not respond.
There was not an extra pillow, towel or blanket to be found and was told by the owner it was purposefully done as prior guests had stolen them—also no coffee maker. We had 5 small children and the temperature went down to 13°C in hallway. When I initially complained about the temperature not improving I got a lecture on the environment.
Per owner: sheet vinyl had been recently replaced and there a 6-in or so bubble in front of the refrigerator that we all continually tripped on. The radiator heat DID NOT WORK and after hours of the owner telling me she could not reach a plumber to fix it and eventually was told the second night someone would come and still no one arrived. She did allow us to make a fire in the small heater in the living room which helped a lot. She also told me she would credit my account with £120 for my trouble but I have yet to see that. I told her that I would have asked for more as the price was ridiculous but we had made the best of the situation. If I had the chance now, I’d ask for half of my payment returned. We went to several other self-catered locations and none were so in-hospitable as this home or owner.
She also told me she had forgotten we were arriving as to some of the issues, however we were sent LONG detailed information about our stay and how to access the lock box on the day prior.

Very nice property, very clean. Wonderful views.
We could have had more toilet paper. Nearly finished.

Beautiful idyllic setting, gorgeous views and great location - served as a good base to explore various points of interest in Isle of Skye. The house was clean and the kitchen was very well appointed with all modern appliances, serveware and basic condiments. Emilia was very helpful with directions etc, although it was a contactless check-in.
Furnishing in the property is quite basic. There were no toiletries in bathrooms except toilet paper, showers were very cramped and water pressure low, beds were also quite small and not very comfortable. Overall, we felt that it was not great value for the steep price we paid; but then supply is limited in Skye.

The location of Isle of Skye is a wonderful place to visit. The beds were comfortable.
The pictures of the house do not adequately reflect the current status of the house. The house is in need of major repairs all over the place.
1) One bedroom window was broken (host stated that the last guest broke it, and nobody was willing to fix it yet). The window was facing south and the sun had been heating the room all day. It was very hot in Skye this summer.
2) The bathroom grout is full of mildew in two bathrooms, the third upstairs bathroom was not even open since it was broken. The grout around tubs, sinks and shower is old, cracked and separating from the wall.
3) The mirror cabinet in the upstairs hallway bathroom was broken. The broken pieces were shoved into the wall cabinet.
4) The house has two washing machines, but no dryer
5) The carpet on the stairs is coming undone, potentially creating a tripping hazard. The carpet into the hallway is loose, has a fold, and is a trip hazard.
6) Paint is peeling on door frames, walls, ceilings
7) several of the wall cabinet doors have broken hinges or don't properly close
8) One window in the main living room has a broken seal and is turning opaque from water intrusion
9) The oven temperature was not easily adjustable. The knob for the bottom oven did not seem to have any connection. It seemed to move freely.
10) There are knobs sticking out of the tub for no reason. Danger of scraping against them while bathing.
11) no toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap) were provided by the host. The host replied that it was a "self-catering" house and guests were expected to bring that themselves. This does not work if you travel by plane as most shampoo bottles are larger than 3 ounces.
12) Since it was hot in Skye this June, we had to keep the windows open all night. The street just in front of the house is actually a busy throughfare on the island and constantly being used. It was surprisingly noisy all times of the day and night.
13) The towels have large patches where the soft cotton loops were...

Location was fabulous and very adequate space for 7 guests. Kitchen mostly well equipped.
Property hard to find with directions received and sign covered by overgrown brush. Maintenance less than ideal - window in first floor bedroom did not open, dangerous loose carpeting on stair. Most frustrating was lack of ordinary supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. Also, no kitchen towels, dish cloths and only one hot pad. Washing machine provided but no dryer or drying rack for clothes except one outside that was rusted and dirty. You wouldn’t want to come on a family holiday for more than 3 days with this lack of household appliances and supplies.

Beautiful house, very well located and very attentive host! Nice fire place and everything you need was available. The host responded immediately to all needs.
Nothing, everything was great!

Clean, beautiful and spacious with amazing view from the large window in the living/dining room
We had power trip the minute we entered and switched on the bathroom lights, so half of the first floor was in darkness.
Hard to turn on the fire at stove cos only a small cigarette lighter was provided. We burned our finger trying to light up the stove.

The spaciousness.
It was hard to locate the property at night. The radiators and water heaters are not functioning well.

we booked the whole house and had a wonderful stay
One room wasn’t entirely clean upon arrival. the heating wasn’t working, but after some tips we managed to get it working. It turned out to be a boiler switch which was turned out by the previous guests. The tv remote from the living room was missing and the tv could not be switched on manually.

trouble locking the back door, dishes were not clean

comfortable rooms, plenty of bathrooms. The location suited us perfectly, good parking.
9 frying pans, but no casserole or serving dishes. No instructions about gas which was switched off, and bottle was empty. Had to change it, then there was nothing to light the gas with. Owner took 4 days to respond when we tried to contact her. Local contact number was incorrect. Nowhere to hang coats….in Skye, where it sometimes rains!!! instructions on fridge were for B and B guests, not self catering.

Really good location in Skye to go out and explore everything. Spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen.

The house was very large are all the rooms were large with most having en suite shower rooms.
Plenty of space in the kitchen and lots of space in the lounge / dining area
The dishwasher was not working and we were a large group so that was annoying

Good location and good views.
House not of a good standard of cleanliness when we arrived. Very basic provisions in Kitchen which had doors hanging off or missing.

Nice location
Poor Maintenance.
We had to request hotel to fix few things while staying in there. Loose water tap, heater, shower.
Also heater and hot water turned off autometically after 9pm to till 8am which was an inconvenience for us until last day of our stay. I got severe cold.

The accommodation is simple but was great for us as a base to explore Skye. The house was very clean and spacious, with plenty of bathrooms. We had an issue with the heating and Emily was great at communicating with us and got it fixed so quickly.
