Too expensive for very little comfort

It was clean upon arrival and the provisions (oven, shower etc.) worked.

Location - middle of nowhere, not actually close to the water front, the entire area is overgrown with rusty old tractors and abondoned farming buildings around. The nearest convenience store is about a 30min drive. The restaurants and pubs all close at 4pm. Bed - absolutely awful. It was tiny and there were springs poking out - my partner & I had an awful time trying to sleep. Price - there are 5 star hotels offering cheaper rates...

The mattress was not very comfortable. Wouldn't stop me from booking again but I could feel the springs and it was very soft.

Lovely cosy pod experience

Lovely cosy pod with amazing views over the bay. Well equipped with everything you could need for a few nights’ stay, from WiFi and TV to salt and pepper, tea and coffee and bathroom products. Excellent use of space, including under the bed storage, which means that it didn’t feel too small even with two big suitcases.

As others have said, it is very remote and the local roads are challenging so it is difficult to explore the whole of Skye from there. But if you’re happy staying local (recommend the Fairy Pools) then highly recommend it! Just don’t forget your midge spray…!

We were thrilled! :)

We were absolutely thrilled! It was the first time we'd stayed overnight in a Pod. It is really a very small and charming tiny house lovingly decorated with small details. We were touched by the friendly welcome. On the bed was a tray by with sweets, 2 mugs and everything needed for tea. It was very inviting! We deciced to come back next year.

The only thing we have to complain is the mattress. A topper would be very useful here. With a topper the pod would be absolutely perfect!

Lovely pods on beautiful green hills / bay

Really nice located, cabin-looking pods. Great to chill and calm down in the green hills and nature. Though small, the cabins have everything what’s needed for a couple-day’s stay.

There’s not much to point out. As small improvement, the fridge is really noisy even when empty. And one must take into consideration stopping at a supermarket before driving in, for anything that might be needed during the stay.

Absolute aanrader!

Wij verbleven in de Pod tijdens Storm Amy en hebben het zonder kleerscheuren overleefd. We durfden overdag eigenlijk niet de hort op met de auto dus hebben echt 24 uur binnen gezeten (afgezien van korte wandelingen met de hond). De Pod heeft qua voorzieningen zeker alles wat je nodig hebt voor een fijn verblijf. Contact met de eigenaren was ook super goed, ze checkten ook even in hoe het ging tijdens de storm. Zou het iedereen aanraden. Het is prima aan te rijden en heel rustig.

Het bed.. het is klein maar fijn, en prima voor een of twee nachtjes maar na 3 nachten had ik wel last van mijn rug.

Soggiorno con vista eccezionale

Alloggiare in questo pod nuovo, pulitissimo e confortevole, immerso nella natura con una vista mozzafiato è sicuramente un’esperienza bellissima da fare. Un suggerimento: uscite fuori dal pod di notte e guardare in alto: senza inquinamento luminoso vedrete un cielo stellato incredibile!

Il vero problema che abbiamo riscontrato, e un po’ ci dispiace perché ci ha impedito di goderci appieno un aperitivo o la colazione con vista, è stata la presenza dei famigerati “midges”, i fastidiosissimi moscerini scozzesi (probabilmente un problema stagionale dovuto alle alte temperature di questi giorni). Suggeriamo vivamente all’host di rifornire il pod con un insetticida o qualcosa per allontanarli, renderebbe l’esperienza perfetta. Un consiglio per i futuri avventori: il pod si trova in un luogo un po’ lontano dai centri principali, il market più vicino è a Carbost ma chiude alle 16, quindi se come noi arrivate dopo e dovete acquistare cibo per cena e colazione il nostro consiglio è di arrivare un po’ prima o comprare tutto a Kyle of Lochalsh, se no dovrete (come noi) guidare 40 minuti fino a Potree per acquistare qualcosa.

Toller Pod, alles da auf kleinem Raum.

Komplett ausgestattet, sogar ein Fernglas zum Beobachten der tollen Umgebung war vorhanden und Milch stand im Kühlschrank. Klein, aber fein.

Kleine Anregung: Ein Regal, oder irgendeine Ablagemöglichkeit, würde die Einrichtung perfektionieren.

Charmante Unterkunft in atemberaubender Lage

Der Pod ist noch sehr neu und wir waren einer der ersten Gäste. Sehr saubere und goldige kleine Unterkunft. Alles sehr cozy und die Lage und Aussicht ist atemberaubend. Wir waren 2 Nächte hier und haben den brother‘s point von hier besucht und waren wandern.

Die Küche könnte vielleicht etwas mehr Utensilien bekommen. Es geht zwar, aber sehr minimalistisch. Was sehr gefehlt hat, war ein Nachtlicht oder ein kleineres Licht für den Pod. Es hab nur das große Oberlicht mit wenig Atmosphäre. Ansonsten alles supi!!
