Shorefield

The view, to watch white-tailed eagles, other birds and wildlife from the comfort of this home was wonderful. Ample off-road parking, quiet location, good wifi, clean and comfortable house that had everything we needed and more. Good directions and easy access upon arrival

Very clean, well supplied with facilities and not overwhelmed with ornaments and pictures and patterns so no visual overload. Hostess facilitating and charming. Identified a ceilidh for us. Location somewhat remote from shops etc so advisable to collect your groceries before entering Skye and/ or buy at Asda or Coop in Broadford on A87. Talister brewery needs to be booked early but is bar available daily and shop The Old Inn at Carbost for meal and ceilid.Use the Community shop early in the day. Harport Peninsula has some hidden gems ie ancient brooch near headland.

Distance from intersections to main roads increased journeys but the standard of the accomodation and thought taken for an agreeable stay compensated.The sheep provide amusement. U

Having spent a week at Shorefield we can undoubtedly say that this property is one of the best we’ve rented. The location did it for us, watching the tv in the evening and watching g the salmon hatchery and the loch is something else, we also made friends with the local deer. The outside space is fully fenced and secure which gave our dogs the perfect space to exercise before venturing into the mountains each day. The kitchen was very well equipped and the oven was a bit tricky to work out which setting was best. The TV needs updating as it takes a few minutes to warm up and come on. Finally, the highland council have tarmac’d the road from Carbost to the house this past week which makes driving a dream!

La vue et le calme sont vraiment appréciables. La maison est bien aménagée et propre. Catherine a été très réactive pour apporter son support pour un problème technique.
