Absolutely amazing !

Fabulous location for getting around the island. Super hosts, the scones, muffins and bottle prosecco was a real treat on arrival. Chalet is compact , but with everything you need for a few days away. We had an amazing time and look forward to the next trip 😊

Wonderful!!!

This was our first visit on the Skye, and we are absolutely delighted! We’ve already booked our next holiday here! The place is wonderful, away from the crowded main spots, yet close enough to easily reach every highlight. Peace, quiet, animals, and stunning views. The facilities are spotlessly clean, and the hosts are truly lovely, genuinely caring for their guests and making the stay feel very special. Our dogs are happy too. What more could we possibly wish for?

Very comfortable stay

My stay at the Lampay Chalet has been very comfortable. I have been warmly greeted by Karen and John at my arrival. They offered home-made jam from fruit grown in the farm, eggs, and delicious muffins. The chalet is comfortable, with a large bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a well sized shower.

Absolutely amazing and magical place

Very beautiful chalet located and the Cliff. Equiped with everything what one can hope for. Everything is really good quality, starting from furniture, bedding, towels and through toiletries provided. When we arrived there were prosecco, cupcakes, scones, eggs and home made jam. What a thoughtful gifts!

Brilliant chalet for a perfect few days on the island

Beautiful chalet, overlooking the sea, and a few farm animals. Chalet is very well equipped down a 2 mile track with passing places just down the road from Dunvegan Castle and close to a small shop, takeaway, and a restaurant. There was homemade jam, scones and muffins and also a bottle of prosecco, really nice touch. The toiletries were really nice too! I definitely recommend this place if you like to stay somewhere off the beaten track.

Book while you can!

Karen has clearly put the effort into thinking through how her guests will use her chalets, with everything near and functioning well. We greatly enjoyed our stay, which includes us cooking a few meals and prepping sandwiches at home. The place was well insulated, had a nice warm shower and tap, and was very clean and tidy (there was just enough kit in there to do what you wanted, without crowding the place). In addition to all of this, you have the benefit of backing onto a pen for some of her farm animals, which are not afraid of coming right up to the fence (even if you have a barky dog). We loved watching all the lambs wriggle with excitement for their evening feed! Would be very happy to revisit, with the only limit being this is just for couples (or singles).

This is well suited for couples, but not for family units. Would love to see something more family sized in the future!

Cabin with a fantastic view

Incredible view across to the Outer Hebrides. Karen was a very welcoming host. Although compact, cabin had everything you could need. The tame animals kept us amused, particularly James the sheep. Very dog friendly with enclosed garden area and walks across nearby fields.

Amazing wee gem of a chalet. Chalet was quite remote, overlooikng a loch. Sheep, lambs, pigs, and geese very friendly too! Immaculately clean!

Perfect!

A big thank you to Karen who shared part of her daily life with us. We were expecting a short stay with a beautiful view... The good company of the lambs, hens, geese, ducks and especially James the sheep/dog, Dotty and Hilda the pigs only made our too short stay more enjoyable.

Most memorable stay in the UK

Clean, very new tiny house. Breakfast was basically provided as our super friendly hostess stocked us with fresh eggs, coffee, and tea. Even local beer on arrival. Most memorable was feeding the chickens and baby lambs. Oh, of course, the view was beautiful.

Just beware of the pot holes in the road.

Karen and John were great hosts and we found their chalet extremely comfortable.

It was quiet and secluded which is what we wanted. The chalet is situated next to the owners home, but they don’t disturb you once settled in and they are super friendly. The chalet is modern and clean, and fitted out with everything you would need, including some fresh baked goodies, eggs and milk.

From the moment we saw the location and met the hosts we felt so lucky to be there. Kind, generous host who gifted us delicious home baking and jam,fresh eggs, strawberries and other thoughtful treats. Beautiful scenery, wonderful cabins which the pics cannot do justice to and the fun of watching their livestock pottering about. Excellent location to explore nearby beach and travel able to northern tourist locations. Little piece of paradise.

Fab room at the end of Skye!

Like the warm welcome and caring from the host, the amazing view and the ducks, hens and goose, ofcourse.. excellent descriptive by the host and true to life kind of feel..

It's a cabin.. don't expect a lot in cooking strong flavoured food as the smell of cooking will stay around for a while..

One small little note. Dog mess from previous occupiers was still in the front garden area when we arrived. If you take your dog here clean up after it. It's a wonderful spot, don't ruin it.
