Bathroom: The shower is full of mold and it is very unpleasant.

The home is a lovely traditional Isle of Skye cottage, with some traditional features that are quaint and pretty such as the old kitchen oven.

Bathroom: The shower is full of mold and it is very unpleasant. I would not like to have children here as it is quite unhealthy. The toilet flush is very poor, often requiring a second flush a few minutes later, and the seat on a quite dangerous angle. Also a reason I would not want children here. The fan doesn’t work in the bathroom, likely adding to the mold and damp issue. Heating: It does not come on at the times specified, and takes a very long time to warm up. Similarly in the evening, it does come on early enough. The override doesn’t make it come on early either. Lucky there was an electric heater in the living room. Mattress: The queen mattress is very uncomfortable, verging on painful. It has no padding, and you can feel the springs. I was also freezing cold sleeping on this mattress. I had to move to the single bed and had a much more comfortable night sleep. Perfume sticks: There were perfume sticks all through the house that was too much. Just a note to consider some people who are sensitive to these strong scents. For such a large amount of money charged you would not expect the bathroom to be in such a bad condition. It was very disappointing.

A perfect taste of what life on Skye is like

The cottage is simply beautiful, and we felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean, the shower was powerful, and I absolutely loved the kitchen, which was full of very good quality utensils (not that common to find sharp knives, and an espresso coffee machine in full working order!). Shout out to those wonderful couches in the living room, perfect for power naps! There is some parking space at the cottage, which was convenient. We enjoyed the peaceful and quiet location, close to Loch Snizort. The silence we found allowed us to relax as best as we could have. The location is also perfect to drive around Skye and see the best places in a reasonable amount of time: Portree is 10min away, The Quiraing and The Storr around 30-40min, Dunvegan Castle 20min, Talisker Distillery 40min... so good! We spent 5 days at the cottage, but sometimes we felt like we could have stayed there forever.

The tiles around the shower need some descaling, but that's REALLY the only thing I could point out.

Superb

Adam, the owner, made sure to come over and show us some tips and tricks, if something doesn't work. Also there were quite a few notes around the house to get along. There is quite a lot of room/space. And all the equipment we needed.

The door wasn't closing totally, so that air went through the entire time, also the lock did work easily so that we sometimes had a problem with closing it.

A great little cottage

The property was in a peaceful location with very friendly neighbours, it was extremely clean (no dust at all), the kitchen was well equipped for our stay and the living room was cosy with the fire. Loved the mini memorabilia!

The house has a few finishing touches that needs fixing, the bathroom door has dropped making it hard to close, there are some hook and nails left in the walls (one of them my mum caught her hand on), the door knobs are really close to the door edges which makes it a nuisance when shutting as you forget and catch your hand. Not major issues but something worth mentioning as it is a great little cottage

We wish that we could stay longer.

It is a self-service apartment. We really felt at home in this wonderful little cottage. The apartment is exceptionally equipped with everything that you might need on your stay. The communication from the host was excellent. It is very nice and centrally located on the Isle of Skye from where each of the tourist attractions can easily be reached.

I won't tell a lie when I say that there was nothing that I didn't like or that we missed.

Super cute older cottage in a great location

The location was splendid, super close to Portree but far enough north for access to waterfalls, nature hikes, and a few scenic drives minutes from the house. The washer and dryer were perfect and the sitting room was so cute and cozy, we spent the majority of our time there. Huge plus for the throw blankets for ultimate comfort & access to Netflix! Excellent internet connection as well!

I wish there was more than one bathroom. We are four adults traveling the countryside it made it difficult to leave in a timely fashion in the mornings. The only other drawback would be the pricing. Which it is in a beautiful location that coveted so it was the most affordable option we could find, I just wish housing wasn't so expensive on Skye.

Tout était parfait. L’accueil d’Adams et sa disponibilité, le confort de la maison et l’attention donnée aux détails, la propreté du lieu, le confort des chambres. La douche est très agréable. Tout est là dans un petit espace et la cuisine et une des mieux outillée et des plus propre que je n’ai jamais vu.

Il n’y a rien que je n’ai pas aimé. Néanmoins nous étions 4 un couple et deux amies. Deux chambres peut être un peu serré pour plusieurs jours. Néanmoins pour trois nuits c’était parfait.

Posizione ottima per visitare tutta skye in auto, appartamento fornitissimo di tutto, ma proprio tutto dal sale zucchero caffe the al sapone e qualsiasi cosa vi venga in mente. Pulito, due camere da letto grandi, un bagno, una spaziosa cucina fornita di tutto, e una sala per rilassarsi.

Le cottage est confortable, plus spacieux que ne laisse supposer la photo de l'extérieur. La décoration est soignée, chaleureuse. La cuisine est agréable et bien équipée. Notre hôte Adam, joint par téléphone tard en soirée, s'est montré très réactif pour nous aider à organiser notre trajet/retour de l'île de Skye à Edinburgh en transports en commun, suite à un incident survenu avec notre voiture de location. Il a été en contact avec nous sur WhatsApp jusqu'à 1 heure du matin et a réservé notre taxi. Nous lui sommes très reconnaissantes.

Il faut impérativement avoir une voiture pour profiter de ce cottage.

Vše plně vybavené, majitel nám umožnil dřívější check in. Vše bylo čisté a voňavé, dokonce jsme si mohli i vyprat aniž bysme kupovali prášek na praní apod. Vše co jsme potřebovali zde bylo. Také dobře napsaný manuál a chytrá televize.

Okna hůře těsní a tak je v pokoji velká vlhkost. Všimli jsme si dokonce i malých teček plísně u oken. Ale po větrání vše dobré, jen by to nějakému člověku s alergií mohlo vadit.
