Loch Eyre Cottage

Mostly things were as expected.

The place does not have air conditioning and opening the windows was getting a lot of bugs in. So we ended up a bit uncomfortable over the night. A screen/net on the windows would be a big help.

The view was amazing!!

The parking space was very small, on the road, took awhile to get into.

Cute cottage that had everything we needed for spending a few days on Skye. Good location, with a beautiful view. Would highly recommend!

At 10 p.m., we were woken up and asked to move our car. The reason was that we were told to park in the cottage's designated parking space instead. The designated parking space was located beside the road, which felt somewhat unsafe for our children when getting in and out of the car. Meanwhile, there were plenty of safer parking spaces available at the guesthouse operated by the same company on the same property. We went to the guesthouse reception to ask about parking, but nobody was there. Since it was already evening and our children were tired after a long drive, we parked in the guesthouse car park. Someone then knocked loudly on our door, waking up our entire family. There was no greeting or explanation. The only thing we were told was to move the car immediately. While we were moving it, the person stood and watched until the car had been relocated. When we said hello and later wished them good night, both were ignored. The experience left us feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed. Is this the standard way guests are treated here?
