Traditional Croft Cottage Overlooking The Snizort River - Portree, Isle Of Skye

This cottage felt less like a place to stay and more like a place to breathe again. The tranquility, the astonishing views, the sounds of sheep and horses in the distance, and the endless skies created a kind of stillness that was deeply healing. Sitting with coffee in the early mornings and watching the light move across the hills was pure peace. The cottage itself was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully situated just outside of town — secluded enough to feel restorative, yet central enough to easily explore the area. The views from the bedrooms were breathtaking. The host was incredibly helpful and easy to reach. We did get briefly lost arriving because we relied on GPS rather than the written directions provided, so I strongly recommend following the host’s instructions exactly. Once we did, everything was seamless. A truly unforgettable stay. This place restored something in me.

Agnes and John were always quick to reply to each message, and very helpful when we needed support. The house is one of the cleanest we’ve ever had and the view is postcard perfect! Great window to look out when at home. We definitely recommend this property and them.Pls note, as Skye is very damp, there is some dampness to adapt to. But the heating and shower worked great! And line drying clothes on a windy Scottish day is something I recommend to everyone at least once!

Very clean, kitchen sufficient, simple without a dish washer. Good location to explore Skye. Heating worked in the morning and evening. We needed to put the heater on, it was cold and wet. Clothing needed to dry due to heavy rain. Shower was clinical and with shower curtain. Bed linnen was clean. Upstairs, the ceilings are very low!! People taller than 1.90m will have issues. Nice views.

It is a great location for outing. The owner is super friendly and very responsive.
