Pros:The cottage was clean and the check in was easy. We did not have any trouble finding the cottage. The kitchen had everything we needed. Cons:The wifi was terrible. Most of the time, we could barely use it to check emails or browse the web. I think the host has tried to address this issue with wifi extenders in some rooms, but I am not sure they help. Additionally, we had 5 people staying here, and we had to stagger our showers due to running out of hot water. The shower heads were lose, so you had to stand very close to the wall to be in the water. The upstairs bathroom had draining problems, so you would be standing in water as you showered. The beds had very heavy blankets on them, and I would suggest that the host include lighter blankets or top sheets during the summer months. The check out instructions weren't clear. They said check out was "10am -11am". As we were packing up, the cleaner arrived at 10:10am.

This is a great vacation rental. It's setting is idyllic, sheep on the hillside and a stream running along the edge of the property. It felt remote and private. Great location for exploring Skye, and it's many places of interest. It had very comfortable beds, and nice pillows. Ample and comfortable seating for 4 in the living room. A well equipped kitchen with full size appliances. Instructions on how to operate them for non-European visitors would be nice.

The house itself is exactly as pictured. The location is nice and close to some of the attractions on Isle of Skye. The kitchen is not particularly well equipped with pans and cooking necessities. Also I would bring your own pillows if that is an option for you. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay!

The house is nice, but was next to impossible to find, since one of the two signs disappeared right before we got there. (And the next sign, which can’t be seen from the road) blew down the day after we arrived. For reference, it is slightly more than a mile from the main road, and your first left after you cross the second cow grate. (When we had to backtrack to the main road in order to call to find out where we were going, the owner in helpfully offered that “there are some horses to the field to on the right hand side” of the road at the spot where we should turn. There are sometimes cows in that field, but we never saw horses. Also, there is a red telephone box just past the turn, so if you have passed that, you are going too far. Anyway, the kitchen is missing stuff, like no corkscrew or bottle opener, no colander for rinsing salad or draining pasta, and only 5 or 6 mugs and a few wine glasses for drinking. No regular drinking glasses, not enough plates (even with only four of us, we needed more plates to use for serving food). Also there is a grinder for salt and a grinder for pepper but neither are usable as the grinders require batteries and currently don’t have them. There should be a general book of info about how to deal with stuff and find things, as we were only relying on our email confirmation, which contained some info, but was not accessible until we figured out the WiFi (no cell reception at the house, which is perfectly fine, if we had known to be prepared). On the plus side, the radiant heating on the first floor is nice and the beds and bedding are comfortable. We loved seeing the sheep out of our window and liked the quiet location. Overall though, I think we overpaid for what we got.

Nous serions aimé avoir plus de fournitures dans la cuisine: sel, poivre, assiettes, papier d’aluminium…le genre de choses que nous n’apportons pas en voyage. Le robinet de la douche à l’étage est défectueux et doit être réparé
