Cosy Skye Cottage

Spacious and within a reasonable drive to portree.

It’s advertised with free WiFi and there are images of a fireplace but the internet did not work at all for us (problematic when cell reception is limited) and the fireplace was out of order. In general the whole place feels like the minimum effort to make it eligible for hosting. A shame since there is potential. It is not welcoming to spend the days just there… the price was better than most places we looked at but the amnesties were not described as they were

The location and view as well as all the space and rooms. The house has everything we needed. Little pretty cottage in the mountains.

The shower downstairs didn't have enough water pressure. Everything else was OK.

It was in a quiet country location. The house was the perfect size for our family and we liked to be able to cook our own meals. The house was presented neat and tidy.

The wi-fi is poor with it largely only working early in the morning or late at night. This may be due to the location. Unfortunately the tumble dryer did not work and the clothes airer was quite small and we couldn’t find pegs. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans but for a family of 6 cooking would’ve been easier with larger capacity pots and some storage containers.

Location and spaciousness of the house. Plenty of hot water.

The owner/mgr. Did not respond to communication about the facility I posted on the messaging board. I had to call the following day. Wifi was not working as stated in the listing. Upon discussing with owner/mgr. He was aware of the issue in advance and failed to inform us in advance. The wifi not working was material to our comfort as we were from out of the country. Additionally, the sheets on the bed appeared old and were uncomfortable. Although, towels and hand towels were provided, wash cloths were not. The listing had instructions for adjusting the temperature, which didn't work.
