Lovely property but some items need attention.

It was a beautiful space with a lot of amenities and comfort—large bathroom, decent bed, nice touches throughout like Harris Tweed accessories. Nice to arrive late in the rain and cold and enjoy the heated floors.

The owner neglected to inform us that she was absent, so there were items that could not be tended to because the remaining staff did not have access; we finally learned of the owner’s absence on the next to last day of our stay, thus giving us context for lack of response or inability to address a few of our needs. Additionally, the information folder with the cabin instructions could have been clearer—examples: no specific instructions on oven/stove use; no specific instructions on closing the overhead window above the bed. Refrigerator WAY too small and because of owner absence, no access to the freezer as promised in the instructions. A little top trim of the bushes outside the unit would give the cabin a better view.

Very special place on a lovely island.

Beautiful property with a great view, comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. Nicely located not far from the Skye bridge so easy to get around.

Only thing we missed was some milk to go with the complimentary tea and coffee but I appreciate milk doesn’t have a long shelf life and we might have been first people there in a while, but there are nearby supermarkets (driving rather than walking distance) and the complimentary wine made up for it.

Really cool design touches inside, I loved the skylight. The apartment stayed very warm and cozy inside even when we turned off the heating. The bed was super comfy and I also loved the big window at the front.

Luxury getaway in a remote and beautiful part of Scotland.

The morning views and evening sunsets were splendid. The building was clean and the facilities on offer were superb. We really enjoyed staying at Ardcana and fully recommend anyone else who may be considering staying on Skye to give Ardcana the pleasure of your stay. The building fully met my expectations and the abundance of plug sockets/usb charge ports was a welcome to my eyes! Thank you for a wonderful experience :)

Stunning

The location is insanely beautiful - we chose not to leave and go out for dinner, instead we watched the sunset with wine across the bay. The property is super high-end, everything has been meticulously designed, and all the little extras such as the great bathroom products, the beautiful and well appointed kitchen, everything was stunning. Even though the property is out in the wilds a bit, there was a great coffee shop nearby, and the nearby town has a great supermarket. Our hostess was super friendly and was in touch throughout with recommendations and advice.

Home from home

We enjoyed the feeling of being in a place that was like being in our own home. The space was well thought out and very functional. Loved the large picture window in front of the couch overlooking the bay and islands. The cottage was always warm so coming in from a cold wet hike was a pleasure, and we were able to dry out our kit for the next day's hike.
