Cozy cabin on the Isle of Skye

The cabin was in a beautiful location and the perfect space for the two of us. Lori was so kind and helpful, giving us plenty of recommendations. It’s a great base point on the southern end of the Isle of Skye! The cabin itself was cozy and homey.

Skye Coorie Cabin

Loved everything. Skye Coorie cabin was super clean, cosy and warm. The location was amazing, the ever changing scenery from the cabin stunning, come rain or shine. Lori and Peter are the nicest hosts you could wish for. They went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and were very informative about the area and events taking place. There are so many beautiful places to visit on Skye too.

The location was excellent and the cabin was comfortable and well-equipped. Lori was very friendly and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate staying there again, if we’re ever back in Skye.

Greatest host ever!

The Host was the best we encountered of our 6 x week journey around Europe & UK. Lori was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, it was a delight to stay at her property. She is an asset to Isle of Skye tourism and worked hard to make sure our stay comfortable and easy. Her historical knowledge is outstanding and most helpful to those decisions one needs to make as a visitor. The view and the surrounds of Coorie Cabin were unique and special to make for a very enjoyable stay!!

The crowds at Portree and some other sites of interest on the Isle as it was the early part of Spring. Glad we're not there for the height of Summer. Despite the tourism crush it was still a wonderful place to visit!

Coorie: Cutest Cabin

On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack for having a cuppa before unloading our belongings. The addition of fresh eggs provided by the family’s hens made for a scrumptious breakfast. It was quite stunning, beautifully made up with everything you would need for your stay and an incredibly helpful guest guide folder. The contact from the host prior to arriving was spot on - thank you!

We have left genuinely saddened that we aren’t staying longer, Skye Coorie gives everything it promises and more

Stunning views and a cosy cabin that really felt like a home away from home- perfect!

The views from the cabin are exceptional- mountains, water, wading birds- it's incredibly beautiful. For us, also beneficial as the north-facing view was perfect for watching Northern Lights. The cabin is very comfortable and cosy- the mattress is one of the best we've slept on, and clearly a lot of thought has gone into the furnishings. It really felt like a home from home. Lori met us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful; she definitely goes above and beyond as a host. We enjoyed the fresh eggs from her hens, and the rare but lovely sightings of her beautiful cats. Skye, of course, is a stunning island- this trip, we spent long days out sightseeing and the only downside was that this time out on the road and in the hills meant our time at the cabin was limited. We'd love to return again, perhaps in winter, to spend more time appreciating the cabin and the immediate area- it's a very special place, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Congratulations to Lori for getting everything just right- please don't change a thing!

Perfect quaint spot for a relaxing stay.

Lori is such a kind and fantastic host - she always makes herself available if you need something but gives you space to enjoy your stay. The cabin was fantastic, really spacious and had everything you need eg. fully equipped kitchen, folders with recommendations, lovely outdoor space, nice bathroom/bedroom/living areas. Much better equipped and spacious than the more common ‘pod’ accommodation. The location is great for those who have travelled to get to Skye (we came from Inverness) as it’s just as you get over the bridge in amongst the beauty of the island and about an hour to get to the sights on the north of the island. There’s a fantastic coffee shop (Lean To coffee) just up the road which we dropped by in the morning and restaurants/shops just up the road in Broadford. We saw the northern lights in the evening from outside in the garden and there is lots of wildlife around.

Superb

There was nothing not to like. It is amazing what they have done in such a small space. Exceptionally well planned. Very cozy, stunning views that change by the minute and a hostess with a big smile and very warm.

This may be picky, byt a non stick frypan would have been more convenient, a pot scrubber too and lastly, a blue tooth speaker would have sent us over the moon.

Skye Coorie Cabin exceeded our expectations. The cabin was quite comfy and the view!! What a beautiful place! We liked it so much we stayed an extra day.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is dreamlike, impressive view to the mountains and the river. The cabin is very well equipped. The owners are very kind and helpful, Lauren made our stay very comfortable and cosy. It is the place where you definitely want to come back. Tranquil and serene! Small, but certainly comfortable as a cabin! Good host.

Location was excellent. Peaceful and quiet! Beautiful view! Did not hear any noise. Breakfast was not included. However, Lauren (the owner) offered eggs from her chicken, as a welcoming gift and on another day. That was very nice of her! The cabin had a kitchenette, which served us well. Overall a great stay!

The bed was too small for my wife and I (we are athletic and not big people). Bathroom could have used a little more space. We certainly adapted and enjoyed. May be we are spoiled with bigger spaces.

Very cosy cabin

The cabin is right by the waters edge so a perfect spot for watching the wildlife. The location is quiet and tranquil. The cabin is cosy and the host very friendly.

The bathroom is a little cramped with a tiny sink and no room for toiletries. It would be nice to be able to park closer to the cabin at least to load and unload luggage.

The cabin was super clean, comfy and cozy, nicely decorated and felt spacious inside. The views were beyond amazing. Lauren, the host, made us feel welcome. Importantly, the bus stop is within walking distance,allowing to explore Skye for non-drivers like us.

Warm welcoming, gorgeous views and lots of wildlife

Lori the host gave us a very warm greeting on arrival. The location of the cabin was lovely with all the beautiful views you are surrounded by. We were treated to a beautiful sunset and also managed to watch the Otters swim. Ideal location, you don’t hear any traffic and just hear the wildlife you are surrounded by. Lori arranged soya milk for us to suit our dietary needs. Lori had some very lovely pets and being greeted by Smudge in the garden whilst having my morning cup of tea. I would highly recommend staying in Loris cabin if you want peace & quite and lovely nature.

Exceptional cabin and location, right on the water, spectacular views

This cabin has gorgeous views of the mountains and water. It is very well laid out, super comfortable, and is cosy with all new fixtures, appliances, and amenities. The hosts are very sweet - they left a welcome binder and stocked our fridge with homemade jam, butter, milk and eggs from their hens. They checked in on us and were readily available for any assistance needed. The bedroom was spacious with lovely bedding and mattress and there was a private outdoor space to enjoy.

Absolutely beautiful cabin, stunning views and wonderful host

We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Skye Coorie Cabin. Cabin - the cabin is beautiful, high quality and exceptionally clean. The cabin has everything you will need in the kitchen. Very comfortable bed! The views are simply stunning and there are big windows that can be fully opened for you to enjoy the views from the cabin. There is a lovely outside area to sit too - with a log burner and pizza oven. When the tide is out you can walk along from the cabin to a lovely little beach. Hosts - Lori is really lovely, excellent communication and check in process. Lori provides a little welcome pack with milk and fresh eggs, it was brilliant! We told Lori we were on our honeymoon and she decorated the cabin, it was very kind. Location - really good for exploring Skye and easy to get to. Cannot rate this accommodation enough - if you are going to Isle of Skye, stay here.

Fantastic and cosy, just what we needed at the end of completing the NC500 road trip. Lori was a lovely host and the added bonus of eggs fresh from her hens was the icing on the cake ! When we go back to Skye we will book her cabin again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Very good

The location was perfect, on a little loch with no one else around. Not in the heart of Skye, so was easy to get to. Lovely to have chooks, cats & dogs wandering around as we love animals. Space infront of cabin to walk down some steps to the water. Cabin clean, bed reasonably comfortable. Comfy but small couch. Fine for a short stay.

The shower cubicle had nowhere to put a bar of soap or shampoo etc. We both felt there was plenty of room in the shower to atleast have a soap tray or holder of some sort. Storage very limited in bathroom for toiletries. Stove top broken before arrival so the host explained they had bought a portable one. We used it only to discover it doesn't boil. We were trying to cook baby potatoes but the temporary stove only simmers, would not reach boiling point, so took 50 minutes. Also Took a while to get the hang of the oven, we both thought simpler instructions would have been better than just highlighting sections of the manual. Host extremely strict on check out time. We received a long explanation about the cleaning process only to later see an entire page of the welcome book dedicated to more details of the cleaning process. We made sure we were fully packed and left by 10am on the dot!
