What a wonderful place to come home to each evening! Spacious room with a lovely view. There was a general sitting area on the main floor. To sit and have a cup of tea/coffee and visit. Breakfast was amazing! Cara goes all out! Thank you for a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back if we are on the Isle of Skye again!
Nothing! Except a longer stay. :)

Breakfast was wonderful (to order!) and we really appreciated the Jura espresso/ coffee machine so I could make my fussy espresso mochas like I do at home!
Couldn’t figure out how to turn off the towel warmer!

The location was superb. The owners were really lovely, happy to sit and chat and give advice. Altogether a great experience, wish we'd booked for 2 nights.

We had a great time at Skye Lodge!
Very friendly hosts, cosy room with the most comfortable bed and a great sunset view over just another idyllic Loch (or Firth...), tasty homemade breakfast, great starting point for any Skye adventure!

This is the most excellent B&B; Darren and Douglas are accommodating hosts who do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are really good quality and comfortable beds! Our stay with our dog was most comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast to order was a real treat! We only stayed two nights but felt we could have stayed longer!
Everything was great!

We were greeted by our hosts upon arrival - very lovely welcoming people.
They showed us to our room and then gave us the run down of the property and amenities.
Was so great to have several options for our daily breakfasts. The food was fresh and so tasty!
The wifi wasn't always great in the evening.

This is truly an amazing place. Annie and Greg went above and beyond from when we booked to our check out. We stayed two nights and I wish we had stayed more. I really could go on about this place but you should just find out for your self.

It’s got to be the cleanest accommodations I’ve ever seen, and the household Ellie keeps it very clean. Even better than a lot of five-star hotels. All the equipment and facilities are very modern and convenient to use. Baron was very kind, welcoming and considerate of everyone’s needs, and made us a barbecue. Before we went hiking, they were so thoughtful to prepare dessert and fruit for us to take to go there.
The accommodation is conveniently within walking distance of an old school restaurant and a fish farm restaurant.
The most important thing is that we have a great view from our each room, the rocky beach after low tide and the little sheep that come out to graze. We really want to stay here for another week.

I had great time with Stevie and Kat, lovely hosts, fantastic location and marvellous house and room. Thank you so much for making my holidays perfect!
9.0 / 10.0
Stevie and Cat are excellent hosts, they make you feel really welcome - it was almost like staying with friends :) They made us a lovely breakfast each morning, and always reachable if we needed them. It's dog friendly, and our dog enjoyed the extra attention from them.
The room we stayed in was well decorated, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom has a kind of wet-room shower, so would be wheelchair accessible (as is the entire house) and yet was still very stylish. Was great to have a working towel heater to dry out our towels and warm them up before showers. Plenty of fluffy towels provided, which most hotels don't do, but I really appreciated having a towel for my hair as well.
There is a nice breakfast room which also doubles as a lounge. We enjoyed the atmosphere and a drink by the fire (chiminea type) in the evening.
Lovely view of the bay from the front facing rooms, and car park, next to which there is some outdoor seating. Shame we couldn't make use of that, as it was too cold when we visited. The location is pretty good - obviously Portree has much more to offer in terms of pubs and restaurants, but Skye Lodge was only about 5 minutes' walk to some places to eat, and distances between villages aren't really that far on Skye.
The WiFi didn't seem to work (poor signal), so we had to rely on mobile internet.
The dog fee seemed excessive at £15 per night. Seems illogical to me to have a nightly fee, when they only have to do a bit of extra cleaning after departure. I've stayed in a lot of hotels with my dog, and £15 per night is the most expensive I've come across. Some hotels don't charge for dogs at all, but usually it's up to £10 per night, or £15-20 per stay.
We were charged £50 too much for our stay, which was quickly corrected once I informed them.
