Gorgeous views, coupled with the comfortable isolation of Jessie’s Hideaway is truly magical!

We were in love with the beautiful vista from the kitchen window. To be so close to ocean, and have the mountains of the Hebrides in the background was simply spectacular. The coziness of the living room, with the added coziness of the wood fire stove really brought us deep happiness and comfortability we haven’t experienced anywhere else.

There truly was nothing that we didn’t like about Jessie’s Hideaway. I will definitely come back and stay here if I ever find myself in Scotland again!!

Needs a refinement

It was a little studio flat and compact with all requirements in an isolated environment. With lovely views

Cleanliness was disappointing.There was a very bad smell of feet and wet dog throughout coming from the carpets which stayed throughout our stay. Bedroom heater not working. Emailed property but didn't get a reply until following am when we were out with no internet. Cutlery was sticky and dirty.

A perfect spot for our needs.

Monkstadt No 6 "Jessie's Cottage" had a lovely view over the Outer Hebrides. This could be hidden on a rainy day, or lit up beautifully on a sunny day. The bedroom is lovely, and the cottages are on a lovely peaceful part of Skye, fairly close to Portree and the Quiraing/Old Man of Storr, and also close to the ferry to the Isle of Harris, so a good location for seeing the sights. Considering the high price of accomodation on Skye, this was reasonably priced.

If you need to stay in Uig for a night this is a very beautiful location and we slept amazingly well.

The shower pressure is amazing, the bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The welcome book is very hand with stories and local places to visit

ery easy to find. I was told I required a pin for the key lock before arriving but once I arrived there was no key in the lock. I called the number I had and I was told I had to go to reception which was a bit annoying

Lovely, idyllic. I would stay again

The property was comfy, cosy and exceptionally clean. The facilities were brilliant and it really provided everything we could have needed

There wasn’t anything in particular we didn’t like about the property. We loved our time there and would recommend to others. My only issue was with the road. I appreciate the roads in Skye aren’t great but I felt that the road that took you to the main building Monkstadt House, could have been better maintained.

Very comfy stay with great facilities

The bed was super comfy. The cottage was so cosy with a wood burner and the kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal. The cottage was so spacious and the views were amazing.

The shower went cold when the second person went to shower. The host wasn’t very friendly during check in and didn’t really want to help us. There was a restaurant on site but it was a set menu at £94 pp

A Home from Home

Loved this wee cottage, prefect place to relax after a busy day exploring Skye. Slept like a baby both nights it was so quiet. The kitchen was stocked with utensils needed so we chose to cook our own meals both nights. Beautiful views from lounge window, enjoyed with local seafood and a glass of wine. Perfection !

Property was stellar.

Everything about this location was homely and felt right. Bed was nice, available space was nice, location was perfect. Even the decoration felt perfect.

I didn't notice breakfast was not included, and got completely stranded for options after I communicated that to the staff. The property had no vacancies for breakfast and I was not aware that nowhere around was also available. Would have been nice to have the option of having something baked and taken to the room, or even just a sandwich. Once again, this was totally my fault for not having the foresight to plan this, but would have been nice to have the flexibility by the staff to help out here.

They were more than accommodating to any changes requested, including a request to stay an extra night because we didn't want to leave. The food at the restaurant was also the best food we had in Sky which added to the experience. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful retreat for 2 (+1 dog)

Very clean Really comfortable bed Had everything we needed for self catering purposes, I.e. fridge, cooking pots and pans, dishwasher We had lovely weather so spent most of our time outside exploring but excellent facilities in case we hadn't been so lucky such as TV with Netflix, good WiFi, plenty of space, wood burning stove After 4 days of campervan living and no shower the waterfall shower and plenty of hot water was glorious :) Dog friendly - our dog Willow loved her holiday too!
