The perfect accomodation for my partners surprise 40th getaway. Amazing views out of all of the windows.

The property was exactly as described. Very clean and had everything we needed and more. Alison was really accommodating she I asked for a hoover to use on my vacuum bags also. It was close enough to Portree to travel in the car without it being a pain. But we took full advantage of staying in with pizzas from the local pizza van while watching a film. We also cooked one night, there is everything you need to cook for yourselves.

We'll be back!

This was the cutest cottage ever! We absolutely loved it. There was a parking space right infront for us. It got very dark in the winter, but the owners had motion-sensored lights on the outside, so that made it easier for us. The cottage was cozy and warm, but also had big windows for natural light, which I really loved. I thought that it was decorated well and made good use of the space. The bed was comfortable, and my husband and I enjoyed making our breakfast in the little kitchen. There were also 2 garden chairs outside, should you want to look at the stunning view outside the cottage. The cabin was equipped with your basic needs, teas, coffees, coat hangers etc. The bathroom was nicely stocked, too. The owners gave us detailed instructions on how to find the cabin. I'd suggest getting there in the daylight the first time. We got there once the sun went down, and it was terribly dark and hard to see, so it took us a little longer to find it, but after that initial search it was easy to find! This place is definitely on our list for our next visit to Portree!

Stunning view daytime and amazing stars at night.

Elfin cottage is situated in such a glorious location. We were able to see all of Skye during g the day and at night, sit back, open the blinds to the enormous picture window and gaze up at the stars and the northern lights. Beautiful.

Cosy and quiet cottage near a beautiful town.

What a beautiful place! Elfin cottage was cosy, warm and homely. Great views looking out the window, even when it was rainy! Beautiful opportunity to wake up with a cup of tea and enjoy the view. Great facilities and the cottage was very clean. Close to town (about a 10 minute drive). The cottage was quiet and a great opportunity to relax and look at the stars. We loved our stay and would love to have stayed for longer!

The view and location was amazing! Great scenery when we arrived and woke up to. While small it felt spacious and made great use of the space inside.

The shower settings were a bit confusing and adjusting it drastically changed the temperature.

The cottage is clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a few nights stay. The area is quiet and peaceful but still only a short drive to Portree so handy enough for shops.

This is where you'll want to stay...

... if you like cozy places. What a wonderful place to stay on Skye! Only 10 minutes from Portree you'll find yourself surrounded by hills and fields. It is small but it has everything you need and the big window out offers a great view and makes this place one of a kind. The kitchen works great and especially the bathroom was carefully decorated with an eye for detail. If you want to sit outside, bring mosquito-repellant.

We enjoyed staying here - lovely location, modern unit, great host.

Set in a rural location a short distance from the crowds of Portree, this little unit was private, and had modern appliances and furnishings. The owner was extremely friendly and went to pains to ensure our needs were met. She gave us great information about things to do in Portree.

It was a little cramped - but then my husband is over 6'9". There was no room for our cases, so we left them in the car, just taking into the unit what we needed. For average size people it would be perfect.

Solo Female Stay

The location was perfect for me, only 10 mins drive from Portree and food shops but in beautiful countryside. I stayed by myself in the property and chose it as I wanted to walk the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing which are both within easy reach. The view from the window next to the bed is amazing! The property was very clean and well equipped.

Everything was perfect

The cottage is beautiful there is everything what you need . First able is absolutely clean , you have all comfort. From the big window you have a wonderful landscape. Close to the cottage 5 minutes by car there is a really good restaurant. It s a bit expensive but the food is really nice. I really high recommended. We didn’t want to leave.

Lovely little cabin - great location for exploring Skye.

Really lovely little cabin, perfect for a 4 night stay in Skye. Everything you need for a short trip - small kitchenette that was well equipped, comfy bed with a TV and a nice bathroom!

Make sure you bring midge spray! We were bitten alive in the mornings as soon as we stepped out the door.

Wonderful stay!

Very nice original constructed cottage managed by a super-organized lady named Alison. The cottage is located in a very quiet place in front of the proprietary house (safe distance) ;-)...about 12 minutes drive from Portree. The cottage is perfect for 2, is very well decorated and has all comfort one might expect (hint to the owners: you might want to place a toaster) ;-) The views are really great.

Beautiful location and cottage, everything you could need for a visit to Skye.

The location was ideal for exploring Skye and the property itself was perfect. Extremely clean and the facilities were great. The cottage was very cosy inside, and the positioning of the cottage within the grounds was perfect too, not so isolated but far enough away to feel private. The private driveway was also a great bonus. The thought put into the Cottage amenities was a great help as well - things such as tupperware tubs to take lunch on the go, a window vac for cleaning the windows off in the morning etc. Will definitely return to stay when we next visit the Isle of Skye.

The only aspect we had some difficulties with was the combination oven/microwave. It was quite difficult to use however by the end of the break we had gotten the hang of it (mostly!)

Such a lovely little cottage

We stayed here for 3 nights and had such a nice time. The cottage was very modern and clean and had everything we needed. The views were lovely and it wasn’t too far away from Portree either. We had food at the skeabost hotel which was amazing and it was only a 10 minute walk away from the cottage. We would definitely come back here. Thanks so much
