Idyllic setting for a perfect cabin matching the personality of the Island of Skye.

Couldn't ask for a more perfect cabin for the this remote area of the Isle of Skye. The cabin was clean and modern with the location being perfect for our 3 days/2 nights in Skye. About 15 minute drive into Portree, and secluded in the wilderness to match the personality of the Island. Perfect location to launch into all the major attractions on the island. Wish there were more places like this when we book our stays over the world. Will definitely come back and stay here when we come back.

The only downside was the size of the bed. We are average height and weight, and the bed felt a little too small for us. Maybe moving some of the hanging rack, and desk into the area in front of the bathroom would allow a larger bed to fit.

A view you’ll never tire of!

A cosy cabin in the most idyllic of locations. Fitted with everything you could possibly need- a home from home. Returning to it every day, after being out walking, it was so lovely to shower, cook dinner, relax and enjoy the ever changing view.

Incredible views in a cozy atmosphere.

I loved how thoughtful the cabin was—it had everything you needed, whether it's a short or long stay. The view was lovely, and in case of bad weather, you can just hang around the cabin and have a cozy day in.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, the property was worth any inconvenience.

My Take on the Chieftain’s Cabin

Wow, this place was amazing! The cabin was super clean when we got there, with fresh sheets and towels all ready. The kitchen had everything—dishwasher, coffee machine, you name it. That breakfast hamper? Such a cool surprise. They left us tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and even pancakes, plus milk, jam, and butter in the fridge. We ate those pancakes every morning—they were so good! It’s in the perfect spot. Down this quiet little road right across from a Loch, it felt like we were totally off the grid (but in a good way). Great base for checking out the Isle of Skye. The views are unreal. We’d sit at the breakfast bar with our coffee, just staring out at the Loch. The bedroom and living room look out on it too—it’s so peaceful. The shower was a dream. Seriously, the water pressure was amazing, perfect after hiking around all day. It just felt like home. The decor’s all cozy and warm—we were so chilled out here, it was exactly what we needed to relax.

Honestly, no downsides. The Chieftain’s Cabin is the real deal—go stay there, you won’t regret it!

Excellent place to escape for a few days!

Everything was great. The cabin was well equipped with everything you need to feel like at home. All the kitchen utensils, pots, pans, all sorts of cups, mugs, glasses, cafetiere, toster, and airfryer. Cosy and clean with stylish design. Jigsaw and a couple of other games which we enjoyed while waiting for the New Year. The view from the living room/kitchen was just amazing (see pics). Comfortable bathroom and small but well organised & comfortable bedroom. We are very happy to stay here between 28.12.24. - 1.1.25.

A profoundly enjoyable experience that will leave you feeling like you never want to leave.

The greatest aspect of staying at this particular apartment was the feeling like you mattered to the host as a valued customer. Everything from the impeccably clean linen and towels to the supply of kitchen appliances to accomodate any potential cooking needs all the way to the tiniest details like the subtle decorum made this feel less like a temporary stay and more like we were retiring each day to a warm home. I could not stress enough to anyone traveling to the Scottish Isle of Skye, please consider this as one of your accommodations. You will be off the beaten track but the serenity of the location, the beauty of the loch-front views and peace you won’t get from staying in a more city centred hotel just makes this a richly rewarding experience you will not soon forget. Do yourself a favour and forge those memories! I know I’ll be coming back.

Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben

Die Lage ist unschlagbar, man kann die Insel von hier super erkunden. Vom Haus sieht man aufs Wasser und sanfte Hügel, auf denen Schafe grasen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt und gemütlich ausgestattet. Im Kühlschrank fanden wir Milch, Butter und Marmelade. Tee, Kaffee, Zucker, Kekse, Porridge waren ebenfalls vorhanden. Außerdem gibt es eine Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Airfryer und sogar Brettspiele und Spielkarten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Superbe Cottage avec une vie imprenable sur le loch

Un emplacement incroyable avec vue sur le lac, le calme absolu, hyper confortable et meublé avec style ! Très bien équipé.Un accueil chaleureux et d'une gentillesse authentique, plein de petits plaisirs à déguster en regardant la belle vue.Très bien situé pour visiter toute la partie nord de l'île.

Absolument rien sinon de n'être resté que 3 nuits. Pour ceux qui aiment la randonnée, on peut prévoir une semaine
