Great getaway in the city center

The location is perfect close to everything supermarkt, transport, restaurants it is in the city center in a quiet and beautyful area. The hotel it is very beautful and for a city center hotel the building is new everything is perfect and the have a place to park the bike.

Great location in the heart of Leiden, its the third time I have come back and I am greeted with the same standard as usual, rooms are very clean and staff is very polite. I like the little attention to detail that they recognize the fact that you are a returning client. Its these little details that make a good hotel a great hotel.

Breathe is a breath of fresh air!!

Very quiet clean hotel. Staff really helpful. Bedroom was restful with comfortable and choice of pillows. Cleaning good service. Proper glasses to drink from. Fridge microwave in kitchenette area. Complimentary snacks at reception. Calm decor throughout the hotel. Thank you.

good value but you need to work for it in terms of accessibility from Central Station.

ok but nothing to write home about. Fruit offering was poor—apples, bananas and unripe pears—and I was disappointed there wasn't a fresh fruit salad. Some seeds on offer but some fresh granola would have made a big difference. Bread, pastries disappointing in context of excellent bakeries nearby.

Nice hotel in a good location, nothing special

A pleasant little hotel in a good location. The rooms have a small kitchen, which is very practical. A coffee machine with good coffee is available at all times, which is excellent.

The breakfast is really modest, so we decided not to have it.

Kind and helpful staff, but that’s not a four star hotel.

Great location, clean room, big room, easy access, everything well organized.

This can’t be a four star hotel. There is no elevator, so we asked for a room without stairs. We got room no.9, on the ground floor, which has a window on the side of the road, and you can listen whatever happens on the pavement no matter if you want to or not. Sleeping at night was a struggle, and in the morning at 7.00am a guy woke us up using a machine that blows leaves. The bathroom of our room was extremely small, and the breakfast wasn’t even average: machine coffee, boiled eggs, yoghurt, milk, some bread with croissants and cereal on a bench next to the reception desk. And the most saddening thing: there was no space to eat breakfast. You had to get your food in a tray and go back to your room.

The staff were always helpful and they offer free coffee and fruit on arrival. Its a good location and our room was well kitted out.

One Day in Leiden - Hotel Couldn't Be Better

The hotel was a little far from the train station (a twenty five minute very scenic walk), but once there it was close to the Market, and the Gardens at Leiden University. Both sites were great experiences, and there were lots of nice eateries to choose from. The staff was very cordial, storing our bags prior to check-in. They then put them in our rooms without even being asked! Good coffee...

The beautiful building and the stylish room overlooking the canal. The small kitchenette was very useful The staff were lovely, very helpful with our bikes

It was great, relaxing as I was expecting.

Everything was fantastic, the location, the staff, the room was spacious and very clean, the bedding was soft, clean and new.

The tv never worked, never synced with our electronics, I'm a tech-savvy person and the problem was on the TV 100%. Please check that TV in room 10 I think that was my room number.

Quiet, pretty and convenient location beside canalside in old Leiden city.

We were happy to be able to check in a little early and then plan for a long quiet sleep as a catch up to our overseas flight. The staff were very kind and friendly and the accommodation was excellent. We chose not to have breakfast but it was available if we had wished.

Everything important was 10%. As for small items : The bathroom was slightly small and the rain-shower head spray was a little extensive. The alternative shower head was fine, being a little lower. The under counter light was a puzzling to operate in the ON position, sometimes staying on, sometimes on for a short time.

Lovely, peaceful and relaxing!

Loved the loft room. Loads of space and a kitchen/dining area. The bathroom was very modern with lovely toiletries. The breakfast was served in boxes which you ordered the night before and we were able to name the time we’d like them. Food was very good. Staff elders very helpful. Fantastic location.

Very thoughtful and felt like a home from home.

Great location, modern and very clean. We had a great view of the canal and our room was also decorated to celebrate a birthday.

Stairs could be an issue but the staff helped with out luggage.

I recommend and would return

Beautiful, comfortable, clean, quiet room, daily housekeeping, including on Sunday. New bathroom, beautiful and functional, very good shower. The mini kitchen helped a lot. Very friendly and attentive staff. I just point out that the room was for 2 people, the kitchen with 2 pieces of everything, but it only had one chair, so one of us needed to eat sitting on the bed (which wasn't a problem, but there could have been one more chair).

The stay was great. The heater was noisy, but not unbearable. What I think is important to mention is that we stayed on the second floor, and I don't remember seeing on the website that the hotel doesn't have an elevator, just very narrow stairs.

Excellent hotel with lovely rooms in a nice location in the midst of Leiden

Modern hotel with up-to-date rooms in a renovated house directly at a canal, surrounded with historic buildings. Very good bed/matress. Bathroom relatively small but nice and large shower including rain shower. Good ventilation. Kitchenette with free tea/coffee. Extremly friendly and helpful staff, late check-in was confirmed and worked. Quiet location, nice surrounding, restaurants and bars in good walking distance, parking at the street possible (25 Euros per 24hrs), or in garage close-by (400m, 16 Euros).

Could not have been better. Room was a bit cold in 1 night, which probably was the coldest night in the Netherlands with snow - so not an issue, and the bed was warm ;-)

Better than expected and good value for Money

really quite street the hotel is located in on a canal, was easy 10m walk to centre, walking along Canal with loads of restaurants and bars on the way. Nice to run along the canal. New Modern room, with large TV with mix of local and international channels, and nice comfortable bed. Room was quiet and free Wifi was good speed.

A small area with microwave oven, the fridge, the sink and some useful crockery: very useful for preparing the food of our small baby! Very good position to access Leiden. Very comfortable bed.

The building hasn't the lift; but it is a minor compared to the rest.

Great location. Very well appointed room. Great colours. Comfy bed (hard-ish).

Toilet wasn’t cleaned properly. I had to clean the shower head. Calcified. Hotel outside the bedroom was like a sauna. Lack of plug points for a hairdryer and mirror.

Perfect location! Everything is stone-throw away from the hotel. Really comfortable and good quality beds, soft sheets and towels. The provided local The Gift Label hygiene amenities in the room are absolutely my new favourite due to nice smell that stays. Friendly and helpful staff. The start of the day was great with coffee. Would definitely recommend when staying in Leiden. Thank you!
