Great location in a quiet residential area but walkable distance to the old town and train station. Lovely 18th Century canal house with some beautiful original features. Our Hostess Monique was delightful and offered any assistance. Lovely view out the large windows to the canal. Supermarket nearby.
Our stay was lovely. Just a note to be aware of - we were on the second floor and the staircase is beautiful but quite steep and winding. Good to know if you are travelling with large luggage, but this did not detract from our stay.

This was our second stay here. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about Leiden. The location is excellent, very quiet, overlooking a canal and in a traditional Dutch house. It is a short walk to the centre, with the Pieterskerk, museums, shops, bars and restaurants.
This is not a 'dislike' but please be aware that the stairs to the upper floors are quite steep - it is a characterful old house!

What a lovely and perfect stay! The host, Monique, is so friendly and kind. It was so nice to talk to her and she gave me ideas of places to visit in the city. She made me feel at home.
The house is so beautiful from the outside and so charming on the inside. My room was big, super cozy and had an amazing view of the canal on the street. It was so relaxing to sit by the window and appreciate the view at night, after walking the whole day in the city.
The beds were so comfy that it was hard for me to get up in the morning lol. The bathroom is outside the room, but right next to it. It was big and spotless clean.
I loved everything and I definetely recommend staying at this place.
I was sad I had to leave. The B&B Hart van Leiden stole my heart.
