Big room for the three of us. It’s clean and full with amenities.

We like everything about this accommodation!

Good location, large room, comfortable bed. Beautiful view onto the canal and pleasant terrace overlooking the canal. Monique was lovely and a great host.

The stairs were very manageable but note if you have difficulty with stairs or a large heavy suitcase it would be more difficult.

Charming, comfortable room space and friendly hostess. Great location in Leiden (10-15 min walk from central train station; good area to walk to restaurants and shops, close to Leiden University spaces). We slept well, found the room to be cozy and very quiet, peaceful in the evenings. We loved looking out on the canal and having a nice start to the day. The bathroom for the room we booked is detached, but it was not an issue for us at all. The bathroom is private and just a few steps (literally, 3-4 paces) off the door of the main room. There were no other guests or people who were in the small upper hallway area between the main room and detached bathroom in our 4 night stay.

The stairs are indeed steep and narrow, and an important consideration factor for people traveling with larger bags, younger children, or anyone who might find the physical climb up and down challenging to do multiple times daily. Not for the faint of heart, but also traversable for a good majority of travelers with reasonable, smaller sized luggage.

The location was excellent; only a couple of blocks from the main shopping street, and 3-4 blocks from main tourist sites and restaurants. Very quiet location. Host was very friendly and helpful and communicated well with us. The room was very clean, roomy, and had all the amenities. AC would have been nice since we were on the top floor and it was was very warm outside, but the fans made it comfortable. I would stay again if we visit Leiden again.

Room is two floors above ground level and the stairs are very steep.
