Wonderful place run by a lovely lady!

Lovely building and location. Charming and elegantly decorated. Manager was super lovely and extra helpful. She made you feel very welcome and at home.

Would be good to have separate shampoo and conditioner.

Location is great and staff are nice.

Breakfast could be improved, especially for those who are lactose intolerant, as there wasn’t any alternative milk available initially. On the second day, the staff kindly purchased some from a nearby café, which was thoughtful. The breakfast service itself is also a bit different from the usual buffet style. While there is a set time frame, you’re asked to choose a specific time for it to be served, either in your room or in the lounge. This can feel somewhat rigid, as it requires you to be punctual rather than allowing for a relaxed, leisurely morning—something you often want on vacation. TV needs improvement. Netflix and YouTube don't work.I’m not sure if it’s because it’s autumn, but the lounge bar felt very stale and lifeless, and it closes fairly early at 18:00, which limits the time to enjoy a relaxing drink in the evening.

The stay was okay

Good location, spacious and clean room, easy check-in.

The shower door leaked some water into the bathroom, the upper floors made noises. Late check out was possible but costed additional money, no bathrobes, no slippers.

The place you will come back to time and again.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel in the center of Leiden. It's one of those cozy, yet upscale hotels that you are so happy you stumbled upon, and will recommend to all your friends, and absolutely be back. Stairs really are not too much trouble at all. Its super clean, great hot shower, comfortable bed and plenty of room to relax with a great view of the canal. The friendly staff and Bobby the Corgi mascot added to the pleasure we had during our stay.

Perfect!!

Perfect location and a great boutique hotel. I don't think we could have chosen better. Especially recommend the Charley Suite on the ground floor, which is extra spacious, has a kitchen and is every well appointed.

It was a magical stay!

I liked that that the suites were in historic building like from fairytale. We lived on the first floor, but we could see people, but they couldn’t due to special surface of the window.

An excellent few days in a delightful city.

The room was spacious with a huge bed and the breakfasts were excellent.

Limited check-in times, breakfast was set and not a choice, no bar as the hotel is not manned 24 hours.

The location of this hotel is outstanding - the town is stunning and the hotel is in the middle of it - loads of bars and restaurants nearby - there is also an amazing underground car park about 100m away.

Perfect weekend getaway to Leiden

Excellent location, close to the centre but on a quiet canal quai. Good underground parking just across the canal from the hotel. A wonderful historic building with a lot of character and perfect views. The top-floor room is very large and airy, looks stylish with exposed roof beams. Everything is spotless clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Historic buildings have their constraints. There is no lift; to reach the top floor room, one has to climb two storeys on a very steep spiral stair. Going downstairs with luggage is quite tricky.

Beautiful room in a beautiful Dutch town.

Room very well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Location was perfect as it was away from the main business of the town centre but everything was within easy walking distance. Staff very friendly.

Room was described as 'terrace with city views' but the terrace was a rather dull uninspiring space - would need to climb out of the window to access it from the room and there was no view of the town/city

Our room was at the very top of the building and only accessible by a narrow staircase. The bedroom itself was lovely but had a couple of very low beams that it was easy to hit your head on.

We had the wrong room. It was noisy. On street at ground floor level and single glazed so all the noise came into the room. Also right next to the main entrance which banged shut at regular intervals from 11:30 to 1am
