A comfortable and friendly place to stay during a working week.

the bed was comfortable the room was cleaned every day. The local area had plenty of food choices. I was able to visit the suberb Art Deco Lido cinema that was 75 meters from the hotel. The bus service to my place of work was also easy to use and went to exactly where I required. We were able to store our lugage untill we returned from work after check out

The area could be quite busy between 11pm and midnight

comfortable rooms in a great location

Location was excellent. Just around the corner from Leiden Centraal station and walking distance from bars and restaurants

As others have said, the decor is a little dated but it really didn't bother us at all and added charm and appeal. A quirky extra that some might not like was that you have to access the rooms from outside, which was a bit chilly in February, but it also added charm and personality.

The stairs. I had a checked bag and it took two of us to get it up the stairs. I emptied it and repacked at the bottom of the stairs when I checked out.

It is our hotel of choice.. It is very central approx 10mins walk from train station We stay there every year once or twice a year. We would definately reccomend. Staff our very friendly and helpful

Cheap and cheerful accomodation inthe heart of Lieden.

The location of this hotel was excellent, close to the sights and to restaurants, and we had a great view over the square. It was lovely. The staff was friendly and in the other wing of the hotel was a rooftop garden which we enjoyed. the room had a fridge which was nice. They offer baggae storage and the staff was very nice.

The rooms are dated, espcially the bathrooms. There was some peeling paint in our bath, and the dim lighting was a but off putting. The stairs were typical of the Netherlands- narrow and steep, but one of the steps was broken which felt dangerous.

The hotel is in a great location for getting around Leiden.

The beds were comfortable and the water in the bathroom was hot. We also appreciated the balcony space and found the staff very helpful.

The shower attachment was defective. The door to the balcony was difficult to lock - it probably just needs oiling.

Great location and lovely staff

Decor is dated. No phones in rooms so if you need reception you need to walk down the steep stairs. No air con or heaters in the rooms. Bathroom was dated and shower was unadjustable and stuck at lowest height.

Only as a last resort

I could book late night arrival and walk from the station.

The room was smelly and hadn’t been hoovered. The towel was ripped and the toilet light is a cord… that I didn’t dare to touch. The friendly receptionist was very apologetic the next morning but unfortunately everything about this room was wrong. Maybe I’ve been given the last room in the house that wasn’t expected to be rented out that night.

Overall a great location and comfortable room

We liked the location for both proximity to historical sites, canals, food outlets and train station.

It would be beneficial to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom and for the room to provide a box of tissues. The bathroom also could use some regrouting around the basin and taps maintained for dripping.

Location was good but noisy

Shower tap water was not working well and difficult to adjust. Bath was old and cracks and rust was noticeable. Black curtain isn't smart either as there are no lights above the bath so it gets a very dark shower experience. Bed matras was moving and gliding in the lower matras...very annoying

Perfect location in Leiden

The location is perfect, can’t do better. My room was like a little suite with a grand view, spacious and very cozy. The coffee machine made very good coffee. It was super to have a small fridge. My friends stayed in a room that wasn’t as nice, but it had a balcony that we enjoyed, and a fridge as well.

The room was nice, clean and located on the quiet side of the premises; and very nicely located in Leiden. Easy to reach from Leiden Central station.

No elevator, rather steep stairs, and altogether difficult to access for elderly and disabled (don't even think of going there, if you are in that category). The staff most of the time was unpleasantly indifferent, sometimes downright rude and altogether not very helpful.

Best affordable place to stay in Leiden

The room was big and had a fridge and coffee and tea bar, which was refilled every day. The bathroom was big and clean towels were given every day. You could sit outside inside once in the hotel, and there was a separate place for smoking. The location was perfect, right in the center of the city.

Absolutely nothing. Best hotel we have stayed in during our visits to Europe.
