Quiet place away from noise of Ubud but easily accessible

The location was great. Once you knew where you were going, it was nice and quiet, set back from the Main Street but easy to get to downtown Ubud. The pools and restaurant were lovely. The staff were excellent. It was a quiet and peaceful place.

We found the beds very hard and unfortunately did not get great sleeps there due to this.

I didn't love the walk from the hotel to the main road. It was short enough - but parts of the path were uneven and some lighting for night would be good. The path does not belong to the hotel but upgrades would be beneficial.

Great stay in a luscious tranquil green setting

The property was very attractive and the room was lovely with a terrace overlooking the luscious gardens and pool . Staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was good and plenty of à la carte choices. Every area was well maintained.

Bit awkward to get luggage to and from the property but the staff helped to get it from the main road using a scooter so no big deal

Beautiful cottage in gardens near central Ubud

My husband and I loved our stay at Gynandha Ubud Cottage. The staff were welcoming, friendly and assisted us with anything we needed, such as, organising a scooter, laundry, or dropping us off at yoga. Access to the hotel is via an alleyway that runs over a canal, the staff help navigate this on check in. The property is nestled between rice fields and jungle. We had a villa with a jungle view and it was gorgeous. The central area around the pool was inviting with beautiful gardens. The location was good, near the centre, and on a road with lovely cafes, restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Gynandha 🙏🏽

A hidden gem in Ubud!

Fantastic location, walking distance from Ubud, but also so picturesque and peaceful surrounded by the rice fields. The staff were very friendly and came to collect us with our bags from the main road.

Affordable, upscale, quite, and great location.

It's a stunning little gem about a ten minute walk from the heart of Ubud. It's nice and quite with beautiful views of the volcano and rice patties. We like walking to the short walk to the road didn't bother us. Can't say enough, the place was perfect for our stay. Will stay there again if we ever go back.

Quiet oasis in the middle of Ubud

I liked the quiet location, in the centre of Ubud, but near a paddy field and far from the tourist hordes and terrible traffic. My large room, overlooking the pool was a serene haven from the chaos outside. The pool area was very pleasant, as were the staff.

I would have liked a coffee machine, so that I could have real Balinese coffee, instead of Nescafe instant.

Great location can walk right into Ubud from the hotel. Staff were very helpful too. The accommodation is very clean. Access to rice fields from the accommodation too. Definitely book this if you are staying in Ubud!

Absolutely beautiful cottage with amazing staff.

The room was lovely and the bed was huge. Very very clean. Lots of nice added little extras. Staff were very friendly and always helpful. The food here was great both breakfast and dinner. The gardens were stunning and the pool very nice. Some lovely spots for photos. Amazing price.

The only fault I can make about the place is it’s very tricky to get to if your travelling with bags and on a bike. The path down to the cottage is so narrow with a big wall on one side and a little water ravine on the other side. The staff did come and get our luggage for us so we only had to get the bike down there. But that is the only thing I can say bad about the place. Not even bad just something to be mindful of.

The staff were amazing at Gynandha Cottage, especially the manger Komang, who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was memorable🙏 Central to everything in Ubud yet a great quiet accommodation that backs onto rice fields. Only a 3 to 5 minute walk to the main road in Ubud.Highly rate this place. Will be back👌

Lovely place to stay

This was a lovely place to stay, the rice fields are right out the back but the street in front is busy with plenty of restaurants and shops. The staff were lovely and helpful.

The lane way out to the street could do with some more lighting as it was very dark to see at night but it’s only a minor inconvenience.

It was okay. But I would not book again for this price.

The hotel is very nice and typical Bali atmosphere and close to the city center. Very good location. The bed it was very big and comfortable to sleep with husband and my son as well. The curtains got very light early in the morning. The rice fields it was very close to the hotel which was nice.

That was MOLD in the bathroom because there is no ventilation in the toilet. Which I´ve found not acceptable for a hotel that charges this price.

Welcoming, friendly staff will make you feel right at home here

Beautiful pool/ lush green plants give it a jungle vibe. Out the back of the property is a short walk to the orange trail. Staff were able to give me a short ride on their scooter daily when ever needed. Staff found it quite amusing that it was my first ride on a motorbike. Pool great- breakfast del ious. Rooms clean and icy cold AC. I would return again. Thanks to all the wonderful staff who were so attentive and just beautiful people.

Great option to explore Ubud

The team, the service, the house itself and the location is extra ordinary. They picked up our luaggage at the main street and brought it to the hotel. The room is clean and the beds are very comfortable. After a day full of activities it is easy to relax in the pool before you can go to downtown Ubud within minutes.

Holy cow, the room and bathroom were nice and huge. No wonder it was high price. Nice balcony. Nice pool area. The interior design and landscape design quite exquisite. Quiet but still walking distance to the picturesque tranquil rice fields and from hustle and bustle of Ubud.

Old School Bali

The room was balcony was spacious. The location backs onto the Campuhan ridge walk and from there a short 10 mins into Ubud (wear good footwear as it was muddy in one part and the path had broken away). Location is the super busy market area (not the artisan shops, the made in Taiwan products). Staff were super helpful, good breakfast.

The pool is alot smaller IRL, the lower level has no seating. No net curtains so everyone could see in our room from the eating and pool area. The sewage smell was often strong in the bathroom. Towels were old. People live in a makeshift shack at the back of the hotel. We spent two nights here then moved locations.

Private pool and the way the room was built and designed and how big and comfortable the bed was and also their customer service and well mannered staff, and location was great vlose to many restaurants, shops, exchange, etc

The temple next door had ceremonys going on for 3 days of our stay and it was very loud and it would go on until 11-12 at night, There is a 5 mins up hill walk to the hotel which we didn't really mind except one night that we were very tired and had to walk all the way up there, Other than that it was very nice staying there,

Absolutely stunning location with wonderfully helpful staff. The ambience and attention to detail in the property was some of the best I've ever seen for a hotel in Bali at a very good price point. The rooms were fantastically clean and well-appointed, the pool and grounds were gorgeous and the included breakfast was consistently lovely.

Genuinely can't think of anything. You could argue that the location requires a bit of a trek from the main road in Ubud, but I think we appreciated the seclusion from the hustle and bustle of Bali and the staff are very willing to porter your luggage seperately.

The Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit, coffee and a selection of local and western dishes. The staff are amazing they could not have been more attentive and helpful. The location, is perfect, a very short walk to the centre of Ubud which is insanely busy, but the venue is quiet and a haven from the hustle and bustle. Getting to the hotel is a bit unusul to get to but once again the staff were always there to help you with your luggage. If I ever go back to Ubud, I will e staying at the Gynandha.
